The Mortgage Insurance Analyst & Operations Support Manager is responsible for internal Consumer Fulfillment Operations & Sales Support processes related to loans requiring mortgage insurance i.e. loan product enhancements, mortgage insurance supporting technology, change management, mortgage insurance company relationships, expanding staff knowledge of mortgage insurance requirements by continuous review of training offerings, to ensure adherence to mortgage insurance investor requirements and increase productivity.
Reviewing, identifying gaps and documenting mortgage insurance loan process.
Updating system requirements to ensure all mortgage insurance requirements are met.
Reviewing and testing system requirements as a part of system release process
Administering constant review and re-engineering of mortgage insurance operational processes and procedures
Working with various mortgage insurance companies to ensure all guidelines are up to date and all loans delivered are insured.
Maintaining and developing a risk and control assessment program and ensuring the established procedures are in place
Responsible for assigned mortgage insurance related priorities and projects, possible forecasting business operational needs and recommending innovative solutions for mortgage insurance improvements
Responsible for ensuring all mortgage related product pricing is accurate and updated, as needed Administering constant review and re-engineering of operational processes and procedures
Responsible for developing group-wide business plans related to mortgage insurance requirements. Establishes and ensures compliance with policies and procedures for all activities related to loans requiring mortgage insurance. Evaluates current methods and strategies and implements changes and improvements. Supports the execution of overall business plans in Operations and Sales related to loan products requiring mortgage insurance and may lead complex initiatives and projects within Operations or Sales. Has leadership responsibilities and will have a high level of interaction with senior stakeholders. May lead multiple teams in order to align operation function(s) with the interests of the Bank and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Operationalizes strategy and drives business outcomes by developing short to medium term action plans to meet functional business goals.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience related mortgage insurance within operations or sales.
Some management experience (1 – 2 years).
Working knowledge of Mortgage Insurance operation technology systems and ability to perform simple SQL development tasks on existing systems such as Salesforce and Empower.
Advanced Excel skills.
