This role is an exciting opportunity for a leader in process engineering and management to have a significant impact on the operating environment of one of the top five financial services companies in the world. We have an opening at MUFG Americas for a leader of business process improvement to design, engineer, implement, and manage processes, workflows, and data that enable metrics-based decision making, budgeting, compliance, talent acquisition, and retention.
You would be a highly valued member of a small but mighty team successfully building an infrastructure for our Operations & Technology function's workforce strategy and serving as SMEs for initiatives enterprise-wide. Evaluate, design, and develop new or improved processes and procedures to increase productivity, reduce costs, improve time management, drive data integrity, and enhance the risk environment
Advise and collaborate with stakeholders on business requirements, standards, controls, SLAs, testing, and review cadence as well as identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks
Create and maintain process documentation, including identifying changes to existing processes and related policies
Collaborate with team to ensure that training on processes is user friendly, comprehensive yet concise, and up to date.
Monitor implemented processes to ensure outcomes meet expectations and proactively evaluate and update for improvements in targeted outcomes and managing job architectureDesign governance framework that includes processes, controls and ownership, testing and review cadence, analytics, success metrics, and dashboards for both developing
Support the integration of job architecture into the operating environment with related processes that ensure alignment with enterprise policy and procedure, talent lifecycle activities, and scope in other LOBs/functions, such as Sourcing.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
You should have a minimum 10 years' experience in financial services or other heavily regulated industry, with 8-10 years building processes and driving continuous improvement with measurable success.
Experience working across lines of business and functions and ability to influence even the most senior executives preferred.
Must have a track record of effective collaboration with colleagues at all levels, iterative prioritization and delivery to manage competing deadlines, strategic thinking and resourcefulness to advance business objectives, and effective implementation as well as development.
Six Sigma black belt required, including MiniTab, ARIS, and JMP.
Must have advanced skills in Visio, Microsoft Project, Excel, Jira, and Atlassian Confluence, as well as strong proficiency in Power Automate, Power Apps, Forms, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, and other Microsoft 365 tools.
Comfortable independently building proficiency in new tools to integrate into work for governance and controls, process engineering and management, data collection and management, and business analytics and reporting that produces efficiency, simplification, and data integrity.
Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience designing, analyzing, and modeling business processes, methodologies, and/or toolkits
Demonstrated, hands-on experience creating and evaluating comprehensive processes in a heavily regulated environment as well as in times of transformation
Experience developing governance and controls that establish precedent for broader implementation
Ability to anticipate needs and issues, identify strategic as well as practical solutions, prioritize work without management direction, and provide clear and documented status updates/metrics to management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both business and technology colleagues
Adept as shifting between leading, collaborating, and supporting and resilient in the face of change
Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities while adhering to established milestones and timelines
Ability to learn and adapt to new capabilities/tools based on business needs
Ability to troubleshoot complex problems with minimal guidance
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
