Job Summary:

The Due from Accounting (“DFA”) team member will monitor and balance various internal general ledger (“GL”) accounts and external correspondent bank accounts, while taking direction from the DFA Work Director and Vice President. The primary responsibility of the selected applicant will be to balance all assigned accounts and complete all relevant activities within established service level agreements (“SLAs”). The position requires a solid background in general banking operations and banking systems. GL, wire transfer and foreign exchange experienced preferred. The selected applicant must be able to assess and proactively remediate identified financial variances in GL accounts to prevent financial losses to the Bank. Demonstrate a high level of commitment to service quality and teamwork within the unit/department. Responsible for directly interacting with internal lines of businesses as well as corporate accounting to resolve known issues.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Balance and reconcile assigned internal and external accounts.

  • Follow established reconciliation bank policies and procedures.

  • Escalate out of balance conditions to internal business partners by established deadlines.

  • Use specific online applications and tools to balance accounts timely.

  • Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly administrative and statistical reports, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of solid banking job experience required.

  • Experience analyzing and evaluating general ledger activity and correspondent bank transactions.

  • Proven operational knowledge and expertise in the Due from Accounting area.

  • Strong administrative, analytical, problem solving, research and technical skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as collaboratively as a valued team member.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of general office equipment including the ability to use PC and other computer equipment.

  • Proficiency in performing account reconciliation, certification and analysis. Proficient in Excel and Word.
