Job Summary:

Serves as a subject matter expert in relevant areas of HR information systems. Leads the processing of the organization's human resource information using the most efficient and cost-effective computer systems and applications. Leads the research, analysis, design and maintenance of information systems in support of human resource administration and projects. Leads and monitors HR information needs and designs new or modifies existing systems to meet changing requirements.

Major responsibilities:

  • Maintains and administers the organization's human resources information system.

  • Ensures data integrity, proper integration with other organization systems, and optimal uptime/performance.

  • Provides management with subject matter expertise for HRIS operational decisions.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert corresponding with regional counterparts in support of a global platform following a defined global governance and shared services operating model.

  • As part of a team composed of global and local HRIS managers, IT and HR function stakeholders this role will help guide, lead and design system and business process enhancements.

  • Analyzes data flows to organization's financial systems, benefits vendors, payroll system, timekeeping system and related to ensure proper transfer and integration of data.

  • Investigates and resolves error logs or rejected data transfers.

  • Maintains the underlying table architecture of the system.

  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and proposes solutions.

  • Directs less experienced colleagues in adapting to new solutions.

  • Will be called upon to manage build efforts as assigned and deliver effective solutions utilizing the Agile methodology with commitment to productive partner relationships balancing end user experience and stakeholder requirements with alignment at a global level.

  • Acts as an internal consultant regarding system capabilities, providing recommendations through effective communications to business leaders and other stakeholders.

  • Works with internal Information Technology and technology vendors to execute system upgrades, patches, testing and related tasks. Ensures system requirements meet HR needs; develops new/revised requirements as necessary. Provides recommendations on work arounds in the absence of available functionality.

  • Act as a functional point of contact between other functional departments and IT/HR leaders to gather requirements on new configuration and triage production breaks.

  • Aligns with global and local participants in strategic planning and analysis and development of business requirements for HRIS modifications and enhancements.

  • Collaborate with HR Communications teams to develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation to support change management.

  • Conduct more complex analyses and reporting for which no precedence has been set.

  • Participates in software vendor selection.

  • Proactively utilizes and suggests technology to lower cost, increase efficiencies, accuracy and value adding end user and client satisfaction of the company's HR systems.

  • Updates and maintains system documentation and responds to audit requests as needed.

  • May Perform data quality control audits and Provide feedback to HR technicians performing data entry.


  • Advanced knowledge in HR technology and information systems used across HR and more general IT functions of the bank.

  • Advanced knowledge of HR software systems used across functions.

  • Bachelor 's Degree or equivalent in IT, HR or related field plus 7-10 years of relevant experience.

  • SME knowledge of HR business processes; ability to document processes and generate clear and understandable business requirements for non-technical audiences and stakeholder sign off

  • Ability to identify and articulate options to stakeholders and influence decisions based on facts and analysis

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytic skills; ability to organize and represent concepts in presentations

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Able to handle confidential information

  • Excellent analytical skills
