Job Summary

The Loan Closer prepares and submits loan closing packages including closing disclosures, and ensures compliance with appropriate regulations, insurance and guarantee functions as applicable prior to dispersing loan proceeds on all loans originated through Retail, Wholesale, Home Equity and/or Alternative Delivery Channel.

Responsibilities Include:

Reviewing and auditing signed loan documents

Reviewing closing conditions to make sure they meet all applicable guidelines

Coordinating and confirming with Escrow that loan is ready to fund

Funding loan, wiring funds, updating Loan Originations System and notifying escrow with funding figures

Role Attributes

Receives moderate instruction on filing, recording, and organizing documentation associated with the closing of a loan.

May assist in reviewing or ensuring proper documentation or procedures or output of more basic activities.

May work on moderately complex projects with assistance and oversight of managers.

Primary focus is on execution within defined parameters, with some expansion based on developing capabilities and or experiences, in partnership with more experienced staff.

Qualifications

Experience:

Incumbent will typically have more than 2-4 years experience with a working knowledge of the business and general office skills.
