Job Summary:

The Mortgage Insurance Analyst & Operations Support Manager is responsible for supporting Consumer Loan Fulfillment Operations & Sales with process and technology enhancements, change management, identifying areas of improvement, performing process design, documenting procedures/tools, and expanding staff knowledge of mortgage processes to increase productivity.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as primary point of contact for Operations on various technology projects.

  • Perform process design for various technology and process redesign projects.

  • Participate in business requirements, and system testing as a part of system release process to ensure releases meet business needs.

  • Create and/or update tools and procedures for Operations and Sales to ensure consistent and efficient processes and readiness on technology implementations.

  • Provide daily support for Operations and Sales on process or technology issues and questions.

  • Perform constant review and re-engineering of mortgage operational processes and procedures.

  • Identify gaps in mortgage loan process and document additional or revised steps to remediate.

  • Draft periodic communications to Operations and Sales.

  • Coordinate with Learning and Development on required training for Operations and Sales.

  • Work with various internal teams and third parties to implement change to solve business problems and ensure all applicable change management processes are completed.

  • Participate in technology prioritization discussions to ensure the most critical business needs are addressed.

  • Submit and champion system enhancement requests for Operations and Sales.

  • Responsible for assigned mortgage related priorities and projects, process design and recommending innovative solutions for mortgage improvements.

  • Serve as SME on Operational processes and technology functionality.

  • Form relationships with Operations and Sales partners

  • Develop and maintains a professional relationship with internal stakeholders and vendors (as needed) and to function as a point of contact for escalating challenges and capturing ideas for continuous improvement.

Role Attributes:

The Operations Support Analyst will serve as an innovator and problem solver for Operations and Sales colleagues to drive forward on continuous improvement. Operations Support is critical to providing loan level support to Loan Fulfillment colleagues, as well as listening to ideas/challenges and constantly re-evaluating the current methods to identify and implement continuous improvements. The Operations Support Analyst must be able to document and communicate clear instructions for technology and business process tools. This role supports the execution of overall business plans in Operations and Sales related to technology and process design. Operations Support will have project leadership responsibilities and will have a high level of interaction with senior stakeholders.


  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience related to mortgage operations or sales

  • Understanding of project management concepts

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task on several initiatives simultaneously

  • Working knowledge of Empower
