Job Summary:

The Marketing Analytics VP is a key member of the marketing support team responsible for supporting marketing managers in their analytical needs to develop direct marketing campaigns. This role will be responsible for deriving actionable recommendations from marketing campaign data, helping to analyze and execute marketing campaigns and automate the campaign measurement process. You will be the marketing managers key analytical partner in analyzing marketing data and helping to develop and execute the marketing campaign strategy. In summary, we are looking for an all-around analytics star – a strong blend of reporting analyst, business analyst and a data scientist.

Major Responsibilities:

Marketing Responsibilities

  • Serve as an insight-driven analytical partner in supporting the development of the marketing strategy.

  • Serve as subject matter expert throughout the organization on available marketing campaign performance data from internal and external sources.

  • Extract data from internal and external sources and work closely with marketing team to plan for campaign execution including optimization of performance over multiple delivery channels and media.

  • Participate in development of targeting strategies, build marketing test plans, and deliver relevant campaign metrics.

  • Design, develop, and present strategic analytical models used to support marketing plans.

  • Partner with marketing managers to provide direction in testing and measurement setup for marketing campaigns across diverse channels such as direct mail, product, and email.

  • Preparing high quality presentations and dashboards for management and marketing teams, highlighting campaign performance, and tracking toward business goals.

  • Support Marketing with timely reports and pull ad-hoc data, as needed.

  • Attention to details and building solid relationship with key stakeholders.

Analytical Responsibilities

  • Become well versed in customer data and support marketing team in helping them understand client profile, behaviors, and preferences.

  • Utilize market research and third-party data to analyze market segments and identify growth opportunities.

  • Strategizing new ways to grow our marketing database and optimize campaign performance – response, deliverability, open rate, click rate, conversion rate, ROI, etc.

  • Analyzing market segments and determine effectiveness of segment and campaign and communicate this from a statistical perspective.

  • Conduct in-depth evaluation and analysis of different marketing efforts to help derive insights and recommendations.

Data Science Responsibilities

  • Find and apply automation processes to streamline reports and campaign analysis.

  • Develop automated dashboards to enable key stakeholders to self-service themselves with results.

  • Develop and implement a standard reporting framework and toolset that can be used to measure the impact of campaigns.

  • Develop standardized modeling and reporting to measure the financial performance of all marketing, distribution, and sales efforts.

  • Leverage cutting edge data science techniques to identify new marketing opportunities via predictive modeling, clustering, classification, etc.



  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or higher 8 years of related work experience.

  • Have business acumen in identifying potential opportunities from data.

  • Passion for data and insights and continually looking for opportunities to improve marketing campaign performance.

  • Ability to synthesize and present thoughtful and insightful presentations to senior leadership is a plus.

  • Experience with marketing campaign planning and execution preferably, although not required, in the financial services industry.

  • 5 years of increasingly more complex responsibility in performing business consulting, financial, and/or statistical analysis and model preparation using Microsoft Excel, SAS

  • Strong analytical, verbal/written communication, and presentation skills.

  • Highly developed ability to partner with other business lines.

  • Ability to interface with Senior Management High level of proficiency in all Microsoft Office products.

  • Must be able to successfully manage multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines

  • Good understanding of statistical methodologies and their use for campaign performance measurement.

  • Strong understanding of relational databases and query efficiency (SQL Server, Oracle)

  • Knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI.

  • Knowledge of Python or other programming languages.

  • Strong analytical skills with an understanding of statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations.
