Sr Program Manager

Job Summary

The CDO Program Manager lead will provide program level organization, monitoring of inter-connected projects, provide suitable strategies and objectives as well as coordinate cross-project activities in support of the Chief Data Office.


  • Assist in improving upon our current process for reviewing all projects (company-wide), work order requests and other business as usual activities where any change in data occurs.

  • Determine the type of change (new, modified, deleted or updated), level of impact to the Chief Data Office and level of engagement or support needed.

  • Develop a process and build a procedure for how to resolve resource capacity for leading resources across the Chief Data Office, using Microsoft Project Server.

  • Understand BCBS 239 requirements and Data Management standard methodologies to broaden requirements across projects, new products and other initiatives or identified risk factors.

  • Build value through process simplification and service improvement. Interact with senior leaders across the organization.

  • Approach strategic decisions in a consultative manner with a particular emphasis on innovation, communication, and incorporation of current and future needs of the business.

  • Define programs that can be implemented in the short run and over the long term to accomplish these objectives.

  • Incorporate business trends, business drivers, and operational opportunities for business process re-engineering, interpersonal realignment and cost reductions as appropriate.

  • Act as a change agent and assess interpersonal impacts using organizational change management tools. Develop partner analysis, OKR’s, communication plans, training plans and resistance management plans.

  • Re-engineer our Data Requirements document and our Data Sourcing Documents and support our lines of business with completion.

  • Lead discussions/presentations at all levels of the organization and provide regular updates to senior management on the approach, execution status and efficiency saves.

  • Focus on business performance that constantly strives to eliminate waste, integrate duplicate processes, integrates risk management and improve customer satisfaction by aligning the business resources in order to execute and implement the business’s future state high performance business model.

  • Coordinate and lead teams as appropriate.


  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 10 years’ experience in program and project management within technology or financial institutions with a specialization in data

  • Experience working in highly distributed, complex business and technology and/or financial environments

  • Ability to effectively partner with the business and a process team to drive out change and achieve business goals

  • Tenacity and energy in a faced past environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; especially listening skills and the ability to deliver to a diverse audience

  • Proven experience as a Program Manager, with strong knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Visio, Project and Project Server) and Teams experience preferred

  • Analytical and process focus skillset

  • Familiar with waterfall, agile, scrum and lean methodologies

  • Heavy or very comfortable experience with JIRA and Confluence

  • SharePoint experience and development

  • Resiliency and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment

  • Exceptionally strong influencing skills and credibility to interact at all levels

  • Six Sigma certification and/or PMP are preferred
