This is a hybrid position. The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites up to four days per week and work remotely the remaining day(s). A member of our Talent Acquisition team will provide more details.
Job Summary:
Strategic initiative management of the Agency Operations team within the Syndicated Debt Services area. The position entails being a senior contributor and functionally driving key strategic objectives along with a team of Syndicated Lending Operations professionals, including Analysts, Team Leaders (AVPs), and Team Managers (VPs). The role will require close coordination with various Operations, Technology, Project, and Front Office areas.
Major Responsibilities:
Assist in managing the daily operations and strategic initiatives of the Administrative Agency function.
Independently act as business/operations lead on critical enhancement initiatives, including technology or infrastructure enhancements, system upgrade and replacement efforts, human capital discussions, etc. and ensure appropriate resource allocation, business requirements, SME knowledge, testing, and implementation.
Assess and effectively communicate risk associated with the above
Provide regular status updates including reporting obstacles or variances that cannot be resolved that would impede the delivery of the initiative.
Design and implement innovative and creative solutions based on business needs.
Support and ensure a comprehensive training strategy is executed across Agency Operations
Qualifications
Comprehensive knowledge of the Syndicated Loan Market, particularly the role of Administrative Agent.
5-8 years of experience of Syndicated Lending Operations environment
Prior LSTA or working group involvement a plus.
3 years supervisory experience within Loan Operations or a Change Management role
In depth knowledge of market initiatives to streamline and automate settlement and servicing, including API integration with industry standard platforms, FpML, Blockchain, DLT, OCR, Robotics/Automation
Understands market conventions for managing products across Syndicated & Commercial Lending Operations
Comfortable interacting with senior internal and external stakeholders, including the Bank’s Clients, Investors, other Agent Banks, Issuing Banks, Syndications, Front Office etc.
Ability to analyze and streamline operational processes, improving productivity and efficiency.
Knowledge of systems used to manage the Syndicated lending business: AFS, ACBS, Loan IQ, Clearpar, Syndtrak, Intralinks, Debt Domain
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Strong Ability to develop partnerships, inspire colleagues and set a vision.
Positive team orientated attitude.
Excellent communication skills and ability to manage many competing priorities and effectively work under pressure.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $100K - $125K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
