The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

This role covers operations activities which are commonly found in financial services firms and may support multiple specific lines of business. Roles covered in this function include, Static Data Process/ Data Management, Reconciliation/Investigation, Client Valuation, Know Your Client/Client Onboarding and Control, Client statement delivery, etc. As a Professional day-to-day focus is on resolution of complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes. Role at this level may have full ownership for one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and may also be considered analytical or procedural experts representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables. Prioritize and direct work to junior level and offshore employees. Periodically review work of junior employees to ensure quality control and accordance with applicable external regulations and internal requirements. Provide recommendations on process improvement and efficiency. Data analysis expert in a specific skill set needed for this business area but remain focused primarily on daily execution.

Job Description:

We're seeking a Shared Services Operations Professional to promote operational process improvements, data quality, project support, automation, and metrics reporting. You will be the primary representative throughout the project life cycle including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation. You will also assist in the overall testing of bank developed or vendor-supplied packages. This is a Business Analyst position within the Static, Statements & Custodian under the Operations Division.

Responsibilities:

  • Support daily process, Dodd Frank Regulations, manage offshore staff, customer facing mailbox control, including immediate and professional communication with clients, avoiding and mitigating information leakage.

  • Lead department projects end to end, including business request documents and creating requirements.

  • Perform analysis of large internal and external data sets and identify commonalities between them.

  • Develop department initiatives through project management and partnerships with other business functions.

  • Build and automate client and metric reporting using moderate to complex queries.

  • Translate business requirements into a functional specification for development.

  • Evaluate the daily production process to set strategies and develop a culture of accuracy and productivity.

  • Perform root cause analysis and provide solutions.

The right candidate will have:

  • 2 - 3 years experience as a business analyst in a financial institution.

  • Experience working with Data Warehouses, SQL, excellent Excel skills, such as reconciling arrays of data.

  • Requires strong executive-level communications, presentations and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, understanding of Business Objects, Toad.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $66K - $85K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
