The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

We're seeking a Transaction Banking Professional who will be responsible for receipt and delivery for the highest risk transactions. You will provide technical guidance and define priorities to the Business Processing Outsourcing provider (BPO) for all functions associated with Collections and Commercial Letters of Credit. In addition, you need to ensure all client expectations, including turn around times, are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently issue/advise/draft language, amend, examine, transfer, assign, pay and process fees for sensitive and highest risk transactions.

  • Responsible for client impact functions and or paying, calculating, and collecting of fees associated with Collection, Commercial and Standby Letters of Credit.

  • Ensure compliance with Uniform Customs and Practice (UCP), Uniform Rules of Collections (URC), International Standby Practices (ISP) and International Standard Banking Practice (ISBP).

  • Process, review, and approve transactions in Senior Trade Specialist's absence.

  • Provide backup for training on new or revised functions and procedures.

  • Respond to inquiries and tracers from customers, other MUB departments, and correspondent banks.

  • Resolve complex and high-risk inquiries with the Bank's liaisons, customers, forwarders, and correspondent banks regarding the status of transactions.

  • Ability to anticipate, plan and independently prioritize work to meet the client requirements and expectations including but not limited to accuracy and timeliness

  • Ensure adherence to all established processing and client deadlines to ensure compliance with the department's service level commitment..

  • Ensure compliance with bank policies and procedures and various government regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience

  • Working knowledge of UCP, URC, URR, ISP, UCC, and ISBP

  • Mathematical ability needed to perform basic calculations

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Outstanding customer service skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and

The typical base pay range for this role is between $55K - $70K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
