Reporting to the Head of Business Continuity Risk Management, the Enterprise Incident Management Engagement Manager is responsible for overseeing and assessing the Enterprise Incident Management Program capabilities and practices including review & challenge and independent assessment of incident management processes, controls and testing capabilities against SLOD’s policy and standards. Ensures appropriate relationships are established and maintained to build and strengthen trust regarding incident management practice implementation and serves as a focal point for escalation of SLOD issues to be resolved.
Responsibilities include:
Serve as a SLoD and senior-level consultant on Enterprise Incident Management risk management matters
Collaborates with FLoD teams and front-line business units to conduct independent risk assessments
Develops and maintains the enterprise incident management policy and standard.
Drives the socialization, adoption, appropriate implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the BCRM framework, policies, standards, methods, etc. of the Enterprise Incident Management Program.
Provides subject matter expertise on Incident Management regulatory requirements including but not limited to: Financial Services driven by various guidance and agencies e.g., FFIEC, OCC, Federal Reserve Bank, FINRA, SEC etc. and defining threats and risk scenarios in order to provide recommendations on changes or program enhancements required to address such requirements and threats.
Collaborates and aids FLOD leadership in Board and senior management reporting
Performs SLoD BCRM awareness training, including policies, standards, methodologies and relevant technologies
Assesses BCRM-Enterprise Incident Management Program policy, standards, minimum requirements, including control objectives and risk compliance relating to FLoD controls design, definition and operational procedures
Leads and provides support of Internal Audits and Regulatory Exams
Ensures FLoD processes, controls adheres and maturity through KPI monitoring and performing review and challenge assessments.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :
Demonstrates strong skills in applying Incident Management principles including:
Incidents and outages management process
Review, assignment and classifications of incidents, outages, and problem cases
Problem Management process
Apply ITIL disciplines and practical incident management techniques.
Ensure proper usage of incident, outage, problem and change management systems and processes
Perform quality assurance on completed incident, outage, problem investigations and change management records
Apply Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Port Mortem and Problem Management practices
Incident Management Reporting practices
The management of the incident, outage and problem management processes
Incident, outage and problem processes, trends and recommend improvements
Strong Technical knowledge of data management, cloud base solutions, mainframe, and client/server environments.
Excellent project management skills, which include task identification, project planning, and ability to understand scope of recovery efforts, ability to coordinate critical activities during continuity exercises and events, and proficiency with tools required to pull project together.
Demonstrate relationship management skills to effectively interact with peers, subordinates, internal and external customers, and vendors.
Excellent interpersonal, organization, analytical, problem solving, communication, and prioritization skills
Demonstrate ability to influence and motivate individuals and teams.
Advance presentation skills and oral and written communication skills
Advance analytical skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Fully proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including (but not limited to) Word, Excel, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint
Provide technical guidance for the coordination of all corporate activities related to incident management.
Willingness to travel
May require evening or weekend work
Education, Licensure, Experience :
10+ years experience with Incident Management Program management or related processes.
Minimum of 2-3 years practical Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and/Crisis Management experience as applied in a business and technical environment in the banking or financial industry preferred
Minimum of 5 year of Information Technology (IT) industry experience preferred
Minimum of 5 year of banking or financial industry experience preferred
Professional certification from the Disaster Recovery Institute International or from The Business Continuity Institute (e.g. ABCP, CBCP, MBCP, MBCI, CRP and/or other Business Continuity or industry related certifications preferred
ITIL framework certification
BS in Financial Services, or Computer Sciences, or Engineering preferred, or demonstrated equivalent experience
