The Change Manager demonstrates their experiences (business, change management, project management) and strong leadership skills to support/lead change management efforts within the function of Finance from planning through delivery. The Change Manager builds and executes change management strategies and leads work efforts to improve the absorption of change and realize stated benefits of the change initiative(s). This highly open role, reporting to the FP&A Business Transformation Lead, will work closely with finance and business partners across MUFG Americas to help individuals understand, adjust to and adopt new concepts, practices, processes or tools.


  • Supports the FP&A Business Transformation Lead to elicit, define, document and gain alignment on a Target Operating Model (TOM)

  • Supports the elicitation of project benefits aligned to the TOM and defining and leading a benefits realization plan

  • Works closely with the program/project team and business partners to define the change management approach, activities and timelines, demonstrating project management and change management methodologies and standard methodologies

  • Prepares for change by identifying impacted partners, assessing the magnitude of change and the organization’s change readiness

  • Identifies, develops and owns mitigations / resolutions for issues, risks, challenges, conflict, etc.

  • Builds and delivers, communications strategy, training plan, etc.

  • Champion change advocates within the partner community by working with the change advocates to craft employee understanding and dedication to the change

  • Performs quantitative assessment of change success and change adoption

  • Develops and delivers effective communications at various levels of the organization around project status, risks, issues or changes, building appropriate consensus and visibility

  • Performs hands-on project work, such as updating/creating process documenting and developing change plans, communications, and training material



  • Proficiency in Japanese, Spanish or Portuguese (desired)

  • Driven, enthusiastic, and makes things happen

  • Experience leading/supporting a variety of change initiatives including interpersonal, process and system change(s) on a large scale

  • Deep knowledge Change Management methodologies, approaches and tools with ability to “right-size” and apply these practices to fit the change being implemented

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills with the ability to pull out and summarize information and tailor communication style and content for a broad range of audiences. Comfortable and confident presenting to executives.

  • Good working knowledge of industry-standard project management, its methodologies and tools and project life cycles

  • Ability to understand requirements, drill into details, and deliver results

  • Ability to build sound relationships with team and stakeholders at all levels within the enterprise

  • BA, BS Degree preferred but not required in lieu of experience

  • 4-7 years of dynamically responsible experience with a combination of business change, operational improvement, and strategic change initiatives

  • 2 years of experience leading cross-functional interpersonal projects

  • Bachelors in: Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent

  • Organizational development training, change management training and/or certification (desired)

  • Background in Consulting, Big 4 (desired)

  • Banking / Financial Services experience (desired)

  • Financial Planning and Analysis / Finance experience (desired)

  • Experience leading initiatives with remote teams (desired)
