The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Responsibilities:

The Contracts and Documentation Specialist, who reports to the Bank Operations Manager, reviews, drafts, and negotiates control Agreements as part of their role.

Main Duties: 80% In charge of the evaluation, preparation, and discussion of control Agreements. Assist Treasury Relationship Managers and Relationship Managers with control Agreements. Work with the Bank's in-house legal team to revise and prepare the new control agreement following the advice of the legal department. Demonstrate knowledge of and sensitivity to the current regulatory environment; adhere to the Bank's Risk Vision, and risk management policies and programs; recognize and proactively address risk (including but not limited to those associated with Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering, consumer compliance, fair lending, fiduciary responsibilities, and privacy).

10% Communicate with the internal Legal Department, Bank Operations, or other parts of the Bank. Consult with internal legal counsel as needed.

10% Collaborate with the Legal Department, Bank Operations, or Auditing to investigate and resolve issues, if needed. Additional duties may include cross-training and support of the Account Analysis billing function. This function collects, reviews, and uploads data to the bank’s billing application so that clients are billed for services provided.

Qualifications:

  • At least three years of prior experience in Banking and/or Financial services.

  • Extensive understanding of control Agreements.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, and capacity to handle and meet the urgent needs of the department.

  • Capacity to examine and solve challenging and complicated account relationships and operational problems that may occur.

  • Ability to interface directly with Bank's in-house legal counsel.

  • Capacity to evaluate the risk related to Bank's products and services in terms of control Contracts.

  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks at the same time and meet strict deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently with maximum efficiency.

  • Research interest is essential.

  • Legal knowledge beneficial, but not necessary.

  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

The typical base pay range for this role is between $66K - $85K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
