Job Summary:

MUFG Americas is embarking on a business and technology transformation to effectively deliver five key business imperatives: Growth, Business Agility, Client Experience, Effective Controls, and Collaboration. To accomplish these imperatives, MUFG has launched a Transformation Program built upon the following foundation pillars:

  • Core Banking Transformation Program

  • Data Governance, Infrastructure & Reporting Program

  • Technology Modernization Program

This position supports the Core Banking Transformation (CBT) Program. CBT is a multi-year effort to modernize our deposits platform with a premier digitally-led and simplified ecosystem for consumer, small business, commercial, and transaction banking to deliver outstanding customer experience and provide the bank a high-reaching advantage in the market. Our customers will benefit from streamlined and automated processes that simultaneously will provide the bank business process efficiencies and operational cost savings.

This position specifically will support the Deployment Operations team responsible for the planning, resourcing, and directing of tasks and analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved to ensure the successful implementation of technology. Provides business expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing processes that are cost efficient and meet user requirements. Key activities led and coordinated via the Deployment team are as follows; Deployment Strategy, Calendar or Reference, Business and Technology Readiness Plans, Event Playbook, Roll-back Approach, Post Go-Live Support Plan, Business Continuity Plan, and Disaster Recovery.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate the project plan and provides status on key task.

  • Serve as the principal coordinator on assigned portions of the Deployment Strategy ensuring the project's success.

  • Resolve conflicts to ensure both the deployment schedule and overall program schedule will meet key dates.

  • Demonstrate expertise in building the strategy, tactical execution, project management, and process management.

  • Consult with users and vendors for a need's assessment.

  • Presents research and recommendations to management.

  • Identify solutions to unusual and complex problems requiring ingenuity, or innovative thinking.

  • Monitor implementation and user happiness.

  • Perform highly complex systems process analysis, design, and simulation. Understand technical problems and solutions in relation to the current, as well as the future business environment. Suggest plans to integrate new and existing processes.

  • Lead, conduct, and facilitate meetings, ensure alignment with the overall program plan.

  • Develop relationships across key areas of the program and within the larger organization to ensure the success of all components leading up to the implementation plan. Lead in the development and implementation of key deployment deliverables and plans.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership and consulting skills with advanced communications skills level for composing and writing original business documentation and presentations for management.

  • Possesses knowledge and experience using both IT solutions and business process improvements.

  • Ability to lead simultaneous tasks, strong attention to detail and interest in adopting new technologies and organizational change.

Qualifications

Additional Information:

  • Typically requires 10 years of in-depth business knowledge in the financial services industry.

  • Prior experience in program or project delivery preferred.

  • General knowledge of project management tools, MS Office.

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree.

  • Ability to travel out of state, if necessary.
