The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for supporting and promoting MUFG in the Americas by conceptualizing and implementing high-impact communications strategies and tactics consistent with our overarching business objectives. The ideal candidate must have exceptional writing and editing skills, thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and have a proven history of serving as a trusted communications advisor to senior-level executives and colleagues across the company. We are seeking someone who will exercise keen judgment and make well-reasoned recommendations, has excellent organizational skills, and can see assignments through with minimal oversight.

This opportunity requires an experienced communications professional with strong business acumen and experience building relationships across teams. The successful candidate will have a solid background in supporting senior-level executives (e.g., Chief Information Officer) and generating various communications (e.g., leadership messaging, speeches/remarks). The incumbent is expected to take on a variety of assignments to support enterprise-wide initiatives, as well as meet business line-specific needs. The Corporate Communications team’s operating model is collaborative and supportive; however, the incumbent is expected to quickly establish routines and proactively build critical relationships throughout the organization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the writing, editing, and execution of various internal documents, such as organizational announcements, speeches/remarks, talking points, executive messaging, town halls, and senior leadership meetings, among others, for a variety of audiences.

  • Adept at working with a wide range of employees from senior executives to front-line staff and leveraging data, as necessary, to make recommendations to adjust communications planning.

  • Provide communications support to other company-wide initiatives.

  • Partner with project and content owners to write, edit, and publish a wide range of communications across various platforms.

  • Track and analyze metrics to measure communications reach and effectiveness while identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Available to provide communications support in times of crisis and special situations, sometimes outside of normal business hours which may require spur-of-the-moment support.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.A. in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate communications, prior experience with a financial services company or within the technology sector is also a plus.

  • Must be a strong, effective communicator, capable of writing clearly and concisely; able to use sound judgment to gather, manage and impart information to various internal stakeholders consistent with the bank’s messaging and positioning; proven record of engaging with senior executives and assist with event preparation.

  • Strong critical and strategic thinking skills, project management experience, and organizational skills. Technological savvy is a must.

  • Able to prioritize work plans and tasks to meet agreed-upon deadlines and deliverables.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $110K - $135K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
