Leading the development of all Business Intelligence Reports for the Financial Data Solutions program by working iteratively with FDS stakeholders and key leaders to gather business requirements, design and develop BI reports, and synthesize their requirements into data schemas and logic, and create dashboards with high-impact visualizations; Leading the technical development of program ETLs, algorithms, SQL queries (join conditions, performance tuning queries, tables and indexes), star schemas, and data cubes to rationalize and organize data; Leading the technical development of tables, indexes, views and ETLs using Microsoft SQL Server, DB2 or Oracle; Performing database analysis and BI reporting using Excel and Tableau;

Leading the effort to configure data connections across disparate data systems and platforms in order to depict the interconnectedness of MUFGs filing data; Leading the technical development of data warehousing data models and ensuring compliance of data models that interact with this data repository and provision back-end data architecture to provide a robust foundation for all Business Intelligence development; Developing controls and change management processes to maintain impeccable data governance standards across all FDS program data initiatives; Creating processes and workflows to manage, organize, and track data changes; Automating data refresh cycles and administering program standards across all FDS initiatives; Providing expert data consultation to all FDS team members; assisting in the decomposition and analysis of SQL queries, ETL logic, and multi-domain data lineage mappings; Equipping FDS leaders with the proper information and data perspective needed to inform decision making and interpreting masses of facts and information into meaningful, actionable insight; Training and mentoring junior data analysts to increase their data proficiency and technical skills, creating training materials and assist in formal teaching sessions, offering regular data analytics informal training sessions to FDS team members to increase the data literacy across the organization and reviewing and overseeing data analysis work in order to assure adherence to sound data analytics methods.

Qualifications – External

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree).

Experience: 3 years of technical experience performing database SQL queries (join conditions, performance tuning queries, tables and indexes), and PL/SQL stored procedures; creating tables, indexes, views and ETLs using Microsoft SQL Server, DB2 or Oracle; performing database analysis and BI reporting using Excel and Tableau; gathering business requirements, designing and developing BI reports, testing and implementation of business requirements; and 1 year of experience must include developing data warehousing data models and compliance data models.

Alternate: Master’s degree in Business Analytics or Statistics or Economics or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree).

Experience: 1 year of technical experience performing database SQL queries (join conditions, performance tuning queries, tables and indexes), and PL/SQL stored procedures; creating tables, indexes, views, and ETLs using Microsoft SQL Server, DB2 or Oracle; performing database analysis and BI reporting using Excel and Tableau; gathering business requirements, designing and developing BI reports, testing and implementation of business requirements; and developing data warehousing data models and compliance data models.
