The Vice President –Data Loss Prevention Senior Engineer will be responsible for the design, innovation, operation, architecture, and thought leadership for the firm’s Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and User Behavior Analytics (UBA) solutions. This position will work closely with other engineers on all aspects of the firm’s DLP and UBA systems. The expectation is that beyond being a great leader, this person will have not just a masterful understanding of our DLP system (Symantec/Vontu) and UBA (Exabeam), but will also have a masterful understanding of DLP, UBA and Insider Threat strategy, capability, and use cases. This role is for a SME not just with great technical acumen, but also with great vision of where to take our programs
Act as the Senior Engineer and Technical Lead within Enterprise Information Security for the Data Loss Prevention and User Behavior Analytics Team.
Contribute to improvements to the data loss prevention and user behavior analytics programs
Own and be accountable for, with a customer service mind set, for the health, resiliency and optimal operation of various security products
Be willing to learn new products and technologies as industry shifts around data loss prevention and user behavior analytics(cloud, machine learning, artificial intelligence)
Expand and improve on existing use cases, develop new ones, lower risk to the firm
Write complex regular expressions, script, automate, data ingestion, cleaning and manipulation
Understand reporting and what metrics makes sense to which audiences
Demonstrate supreme passion so that your actions are driven and you’re not satisfied until we reach an appropriate level of maturity
Collaborate and partner with multiple individuals on the team and across the organization
Subject matter expert in all facets of the Symantec suite of DLP products (legacy Vontu)
Masterful understanding of DLP capabilities, strategies, and principles
Knowledge of User Behavior Analytics, insider threat use cases, SIEM, log collection
Powershell, Python, scripting, knowledge of SQL and Splunk querying
Cloud experience AWS, AZURE, O365, CASB
Networking experience(routers, switches, load balancers, tcp/ip, dns, dhcp), active directory
Infrastructure sizing and planning experience
Exceptional ability to execute and drive change
Experience rolling out and/or running a large scale(enterprise) security products deployments
Strategic, creative, and innovative mind
Document, present, convey complex messages in simple terms to audiences ranging from helpdesk to CISO
