This is a hybrid position. The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites up to four days per week and work remotely the remaining day(s). A member of our Talent Acquisition team will provide more details.

Job Summary:

MUFG is seeking a DevSecOps product owner interested in build and drive end-end DevSecOps platform. This position is critical to the building and enabling DevSecOps capabilities for the rest of the bank's lines of business teams to build their applications.

Major Responsibilities

  • A candidate should have forward-thinking and deep interest in developing DevSecOps principles and is responsible for ensuring software development processes integrate security from the start. This crucial role combines expertise in Development, Security, and Operations.

  • A candidate would deeply understand and triangulate across customer needs, product analytics, and external industry innovation to drive product vision and strategy for Developer Platform offerings that maximize business and customer impact

  • Partner closely with senior management and engineering teams to define and align with stakeholders on vision, strategy, and roadmaps

  • In this role you will collaborate with other senior technical team members and other developers to conceptualize, design, and deliver innovative technology solutions. Additionally, they prioritize security tasks, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure all security requirements are met.

  • You will interact with various technology, product, and business teams across MUFG. Help them onboard DevSecOps environment and support developers across the bank. Must have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of software security practices. By bringing a security-focused mindset to the development process, DevSecOps Product Owners play a vital role in protecting digital assets and reducing cyber threats.

  • Understand and converse application design and programming activities in the latest technologies: Java, Node, REST, microservices, AWS/Cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise

  • Deliver projects that adhere to continuous delivery practices with automated unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing pipelines

  • Support agile development teams by developing and maintaining tools, pipelines, scripts, and environments.

  • Ability to research and learn new methodologies and technologies and bring knowledge to the team.

  • Ability to present information to wide variety of audiences, including senior management.

Qualifications:

  • A healthy blend of deep technical knowledge with customer-focused mindset and empathy

  • Guide and oversee the development of products, ensuring they meet both user needs and security requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, security engineers, and IT professionals, to achieve project goals and maintain a secure development environment.

  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, refining features, and organizing tasks based on importance and urgency.

  • Plan and schedule product release timelines, coordinating with key stakeholders to minimize disruptions and ensure timely delivery of secure products.

  • Stay informed about emerging security threats, trends, and best practices to continuously update product security features and improve overall system protection.

  • Gather and analyze user feedback to better understand and address customer needs, while maintaining high-level security standards across all product offerings.

  • Create and communicate the product's vision and strategy, ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities in achieving these objectives.

  • Facilitate communication between different team members, departments, and stakeholders to ensure everyone is on the same page and working towards a shared goal.

  • Monitor and track progress throughout the product development lifecycle, making necessary adjustments to maintain focus on security, performance, and user satisfaction.

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the development team, security team, and other business units, ensuring consistent communication and collaboration at all stages of the project.

  • Demonstrated passion for developer platforms, developer experience, tools, workflows, and/or infrastructure

  • Strategic thinker that can connect customer use cases to technology solutions and think holistically about end-to-end experience

  • Ability to manage a portfolio of bigger and smaller bets while balancing short-term goals and long-term vision

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience

  • 5-7 years of technical product management experience

  • 1-2 years experience with -

  • Micro-Service Oriented Architectures, Containerization, Infrastructure as Code, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Azure/AWS/Cloud infrastructure.

  • CICD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Tekton, ArgoCD, GitHub Enterprise.

  • Java, python, Node, .Net, Angular, React and Agile.

  • SCA, SAST(SonarQube, Veracode, Nexus), SBOM and DAST(OWASP Zap)

  • Test automation tools

  • Package managers like Helm

  • Vault (Hashicorp/Conjur) and integration with CICD pipelines and K8s/OCP.

  • Linux and windows experience.

  • Banking, Financial services experience is preferred.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $110K - $135K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
