This is a hybrid position. The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites up to four days per week and work remotely the remaining day(s). A member of our Talent Acquisition team will provide more details.

Job Summary:

The Cross-Border Data Movement Compliance Analyst (“CBDM Compliance Analyst”), Assistant Vice President will report to the Cross-Border Data Movement Compliance Manager within the MUFG Global Privacy Office. The CBDM Compliance Analyst, Assistant Vice President will be responsible for executing global initiatives and processes to help ensure compliance with privacy and data protection, AML, KYC and Bank Secrecy requirements that impact cross-border data movement. Additionally, the CBDM Compliance Analyst, Assistant Vice President will be responsible for planning and coordinating testing, monitoring, and internal audit reviews. The role will also support project management needs for the development of procedures and policies to support cross-border data movement for critical projects, working across the team and with other key stakeholders.

Major Responsibilities :

  • Become a subject matter expert (SME) within the CBDM Compliance team, whose representative tasks will include PIA (Privacy Impact Assessment)/DPIA (Data Protection Impact Assessment) review to support global and regional projects.

  • Complete Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and cross-border data movement risk assessments for complex global projects

  • Assess privacy and data protection and other cross-border data movement risks, and provide advice to business and information technology partners to identify and mitigate risks.

  • Work with project teams helping to support integration and set-up of new privacy & cross-border data movement processes.

  • Work closely with line of business compliance officers in the ongoing development of key compliance controls as well as with 1st line risk and control group owners.

  • Act as a central point of contact for training development, new product and service reviews and other matters related to cross-border data movement.

Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree required; CIPP certification preferred.

  • Knowledge of global data privacy and cross border data movement (CBDM) regulations and risk mitigation requirements.

  • 3+ years’ experience with compliance or risk program and project management. Experience working in financial services preferred.

  • Experience conducting privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and cross border data movement risk assessments or experience executing compliance risk assessments.

  • Experience with project management methodologies and managing complex global projects. Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong research, writing and presentation skills including the ability to prepare clear and concise reports. High attention to detail and extremely organized to effectively manage multiple concurrent priorities.

  • Strong sense of ownership to drive tasks to completion and to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Intermediate to Expert skill in Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

The typical base pay range for this role is between $85k-$105K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
