We are in need of a talented and experienced writer to craft and edit content for our digital platforms and print publications. The main goal of this role is to raise Cybersecurity awareness for both internal and external audiences through informative and engaging content. The ideal candidate will be an expert wordsmith and storyteller that can develop well-written and engaging Cybersecurity awareness content quickly.
The successful applicant will be responsible for helping draft various communications and education materials including Information Security announcements/messages, information security articles, Cybersecurity best practices, executive cyber education materials, external consumer messaging/materials, and other communications materials and messages as needed.
The successful applicant will be a team player that’s ready to give and receive feedback. You should be a stickler for meeting deadlines and great at multi-tasking, as we balance multiple projects at once. Preference will be given to those with experience in online writing and knowledge of content marketing.
Reporting position: Reports to Head of Awareness and Training team
Duties and Responsibilities:
Promoting Cybersecurity Awareness
Help communicate the firm’s security policies and requirements
Promote awareness of information security policies and best practices using online, intranet tools
Develop new or update existing information security education and awareness activities and materials
Help identify and implement new ways of reach audiences – US employees, global employees, consumers/customers
Collaborate with information security technical experts as needed to augment and review relevant education materials and messaging
Help develop PowerPoint slides for presentations
Leverage multiple channels to help build a cyber aware and cyber safe culture to include videos, articles, presentations, newsletters, social media, and announcements.
Work with external vendors and agency partners as needed to establish quotes, production schedules, delivery, and implementation of materials.
Some knowledge of information security/cybersecurity is highly desired.
Some facility with, or willingness to learn, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex,
Proven ability to write effective, high quality communications under tight deadlines.
Crafts messages and education materials to match capability and knowledge level of the audience.
High level of proficiency in developing PowerPoint presentations
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels
Desire to learn and integrate new capabilities in digital technology, such as audio, video, social media, online communities, blogs, and other web-based technologies.
Creative thinking and understanding of audience to produce engaging materials in a variety of formats and media, including storyboards, user guides, and articles.
Ability to execute under pressure and very tight timeframes.
Highly organized, detailed oriented, and able to multi-task and manage concurrent deadlines.
A high degree of independence, integrity and confidentiality.
Can do, upbeat attitude a must.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a communications, marketing or journalism major
