Job Summary:
This position delivers on Major Transformational projects including Datacenter reengineering, consolidation, multi-cloud rationalization and deployments including AWS, O365, Cisco ACI, Zscaler, etc. Perform designs and deliver on operational objectives by engineering, evaluating, recommending, formulating testing and implementation of plans for current and new network technology; Contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; Preparing and completing action plans; Designing cost effective networks, ensuring MUFG and industry best practices networks; Resolving problems; Completing audits; identifying trends; determining network improvements; implementing change;
Major Responsibilities:
Hands on Engineer with Knowledge in the following Network Technologies to include Cisco Routers, Switches, F5 Load-Balancers, DNS, Proxy , Cisco ACI, Zscaler and/or AWS cloud services, as well as others for all data centers and branches etc.
Must have design, deployment, and troubleshooting experience in MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VPC, VDC, and general knowledge around NTP, SNMP, NetFlow, CEF, Security Protocols, Network management tools including Nexus Dashboard, Netbrain, SolarWinds, and Wireshark.
Be able to independently design and develop QoS configurations for data and Voice deployments and help troubleshoot any data and voice related issues .
Be able to design, deploy, migrate, and troubleshoot Cisco Multi-site ACI.
Be able to configure, deploy, and troubleshoot F5 LTMs/GTMs, and DNS.
Familiar with project delivery methodologies related to network infrastructure.
Work with the team to evolve the long-term architecture in collaboration with stakeholders, partners, and customers; participate in developing the ongoing strategic vision.
Be able to evaluate emerging technologies on an ongoing basis, identify needs and be able to make recommendations for new technologies and vendor solutions based on network vision and strategy, leveraging latest industry developments.
Drive implementation of proof-of-concepts and lab testing from concept to delivery with an emphasis and focus on emerging technologies.
Embed Information Security and Risk Management principles within culture requiring continuous improvement to complex functions to coordinate security and compliance risks related to information systems and assets. Able to drive coordination, consensus, and execution to mitigate risk, issues, and emerging threats in mission-critical environments.
Ability to maintain excellent network documentation using Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal / written communication skills a must.
Must be able to support weekend / after-hours network deployments and escalations to troubleshoot production issues.
Qualifications:
7-10 years of related technical experience with planning, engineering, design, and implementation of complex enterprise networks using Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, network management and monitoring systems.
Must have 5 years of leading Datacenter and/or WAN transformational network engineering efforts, F5 LTMs/GTMs, DNS , ACI and/or Zscaler / AWS Cloud.
Deep experience with Network architecture, IT infrastructure, IT application technologies and frameworks
Must be able to determine business requirements and provide detailed designs.
Strong Knowledge and hands on experience in QOS design and implementation is required for this position .
Strong Hands-on architect/engineering level experience on Cisco Nexus, Cat 8K, ASR/ISRs, is required.
Hands-on deployment experience on Python and Ansible would be a big plus.
Strong communicator with ability to be flexible, decision oriented, and highly motivated. Ability to approach major decisions in a consultative manner with a particular emphasis on delivery.
Strong ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with internal partners and external vendors.
Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communications.
Education, Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Internetworking, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or Information Systems Engineering (or foreign equivalent degree
CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) Certification would be a big plus.
AWS Certified Advanced Networking would be a big plus.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $137K - $170K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
