This is a hybrid position. The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office an average of two to three days per week with the remainder worked remotely.


In this role, you will focus on establishing controls for the integrity of key data elements using a data quality framework as well as financial and non-financial reconciliations. Responsibilities include profiling data; analyzing measurement points; identifying and developing data quality rules, reconciliation controls, and dashboard reporting with results and anomalies; addressing incidents through data quality problem management process; developing and documenting processes for golden sources identification and certification as well as supporting data management integrated control framework; and managing full-lifecycle controls platform solutions, including requirements analysis; controls platform selection, design, and development; technical architecture design; and deployment. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end project lifecycle for multiple projects in the office of Chief Data Officer of Americas (OCDO) and will work with in Enterprise Data Quality Group. This role will lead projects that enable the efficient and actionable use of data by developing and implementing enterprise data projects that align enterprise information assets with business and technology strategy. CDO Delivery Manager will have matrixed reporting and execution responsibility with multiple LOBs for delivering assigned work. This role will lead multiple project teams of Business Analysts & Data Analysts and will be the point of contact for key stakeholders to drive assigned work to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible to provide project statuses in various forums, budget estimates, manage timelines, and proactively manages risks and dependencies for the assigned project(s)

This role will actively ensure compliance with the Bank's Business Standards of Conduct and all Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, and other regulatory and compliance policies and procedures. Actively participate in any required corporate and business line Compliance Training.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with members of the EDQ management team, sub teams and other organizations with in MUFG

  • This person will be responsible for an end-to-end delivery of the assigned projects and will be the primary point of escalation for issues.

  • Will ensure project is adhering to various data policies while keeping the goals of the project intact

  • Guides project teams through all phases, ensuring processes are followed, required documents are completed, and required tracking systems are kept updated

  • Drives overall execution regardless of which team is doing the work. Also supports Line of Business stakeholder relationships and acts as their advocate throughout the life of the project.

  • Collaborates with key partners from the Line of Businesses and other IT Project Managers.

  • Develops and manages project plans, WBS, RACI and other artifacts required for successful Project execution

  • Identifies, assigns, tracks, escalates, and resolves issues, risks and any dependencies

  • Delegates and holds resources accountable for deliverables on time and budget

  • Ability to schedule and facilitate meetings to review progress status, brainstorm and drives various decisions with the teams and business stakeholders and documents minutes, action items. etc.

  • Develop and deliver management and project-related presentations as needed

  • Will be the subject Matter Expertise for the data team


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • 8-10 years' data quality/reporting or similar level data analysis experience required

  • Experience in the banking or finance institutions preferred

  • Strong Project Management skills with minimum of 10 years of project management experience, Enterprise Data Quality, Data Warehouse and Data Integration (preferred)

  • Background in financial industry with demonstrated knowledge and experience in Data governance, Enterprise Data Quality, Data Warehouse and Data Integration (preferred)

  • Strong demonstrated knowledge and work experience to lead at least 2 complex projects/priorities concurrently

  • Strong Microsoft Office experience including PowerPoint presentation skills and the ability to target messaging to different audiences as well as Microsoft Project, MS Visio, with advanced levels in Excel

  • Proficient in Tableau, SQL

  • Familiarity with tools like Alteryx and Collibra

  • Familiarity with Cloud Computing & Storage solutions (AWS, S3 etc)

  • Nice to have: Power BI, Informatica IDQ

  • Knowledge of industry leading data quality and data protection management practices

  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets, and approaches related to data protection

  • Knowledge of data-related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues

  • Knowledge of risk data architecture and technology solutions
