Job Summary:
The Openshift/Containerization Team Lead/Manager Director will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of containerized applications and platforms using Red Hat Openshift and other containerization technologies. This role involves leading a team of engineers, ensuring the stability and scalability of the container platforms, and collaborating with various departments to support project initiatives and business goals.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Openshift/Containerization engineering team.
Oversee the design, build, implementation, and delivery of containerized applications and platforms using Red Hat Openshift and other containerization technologies.
Ensure the stability, scalability, and security of the container platforms.
Collaborate with various departments to support project initiatives and business goals.
Develop and implement best practices for containerization and orchestration.
Monitor and analyze support requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Manage and track operational, preventative, project, and maintenance support activities.
Lead efforts to automate infrastructure management, maintenance, and provisioning tasks.
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
Minimum 12+ years proven experience in managing containerization and orchestration engineering teams
Strong knowledge of Red Hat Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker, and other containerization technologies.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills :
Certifications in containerization technologies such as Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
Knowledge of security and compliance standards for containerized environments.
Familiarity with project management methodologies.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience
The typical base pay range for this role is between $199K - $232K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
