FR Y-14 Regulatory Reporting Production Manager
The FR Y-14A Data Tables Manager reports to the CARR and non-CCAR Regulatory Reporting Director and is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate reporting of 14A data to end-users/owners of 14A data, typically Document Owners. Act as the central point of contact for 14A reporting team. Additionally, the FR Y-14A Data Tables Manager works closely with Document Owners to gather 14A data table requirements and summarize 14A data for submission into regulatory reports that may include, but not limited to, the annual Capital Plan, supporting narratives to the annual Capital Plan, and the annual DFAST Disclosure. This position will require research and monitor FR Y-14A data to ensure data integrity
Manage the preparation and publishing of Comprehensive Capital Analysis Review (CCAR) FR Y-14 A, Q and M (Annual, Quarterly and Monthly) regulatory reports. Perform report analysis and reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely filing to the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB).
Lead the research and implementation of new and revised FR Y-14 regulatory reporting requirements, as well as the evaluation of regulatory requirements for new products/transactions. Communicate regulatory information to multiple departments and ensure that information is interpreted correctly.
Provide regulatory guidance to departments or development project teams regarding design, development, evaluation, or testing.
Manage and coordinate multiple cross-functional regulatory reporting efforts impacting the Bank’s Controller’s, Risk, IT (Information Technology) and line of business groups.
Manage and provide guidance to Regulatory Reporting Analyst to produce regulatory reporting supporting documents, reconciliations and quantitative analysis to ensure complete and accurate regulatory reporting filing.
Recommend procedural changes and process improvement opportunities to streamline the Bank’s regulatory reporting processes, anticipate problems and enhance the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the reporting process. Provide status updates to the Regulatory Reporting Director and Project Managers;
Spearhead Axiom implementation and execute selected process enhancements and remediate management-identified issues
Complete ad hoc regulatory reporting FRB inquiries and projects; including participation in the regulatory reporting automation project.
Produce production work papers; conduct analysis of financial results to ensure work papers are in line with business expectations; and coordinate requests for information from data providers and lines of business.
Prepare and maintain current, accurate, and detailed standalone desktop procedures in a standard that meets the regulatory standard.
Manage and provide guidance to staff / Reg. Reporting analysts.
Database user interface and query software — Database software; Microsoft Access; Structured query language SQL
Spreadsheet software — Extensive Microsoft Excel experience
BS/BA in Finance, Business or Accounting or a related field is required
Minimum 7 years related experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance, accounting, and/or regulatory reporting. CPA / Chartered Accountant, with public accounting experience and banking industry experience is strongly preferred.
7 years of progressive finance experience with Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Treasury and regulatory reporting experience in large, complex financial or banking institutions
Exposure to regulatory reporting (particularly CCAR FR Y-14 A or Q&M schedules or FR Y-9C), internal controls, data management, and governance concepts desired
Knowledge of banking / financial services industry and financial products (Retail loans, Wholesale Loans, securities).
Strong analytical skills.
Solid ability to manage multiple priorities and cope with moving targets.
Ability to anticipate, identify and analyze complex financial issues
Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial acumen
Superb communication skills (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft suite of products - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
