Job Summary

Major Responsibilities:

  • Work with CI/CD Release & Deployment Leadership and team to enhance standards around Release Management

  • Provide input into the creation of Dashboard on Release Management and New Product Release

  • Work with Development, Test and Release teams to automate wherever possible

  • Maintain project schedules, timelines, and queueing across assigned resources for projects

  • Ensure appropriate billing (charge back/show back is being processed for initiatives)

  • Triage escalations from projects you are overseeing based on risk to project, compliance, or security – report any irregularities immediately

  • Report on key resources needed for Test, Environment and Release management to Release Manager

  • Create Release Plans, Release Checkpoints, and Project Requirements for major transformation initiatives

  • Timely identification and escalation of any risks related to a release and assist the Release Manager in effective risk remediation

  • Represent the Release Management team in the CAB meetings

  • Ensure that all upstream/downstream systems impacted by a release are identified and their teams engaged to ensure adequate end-to-end testing prior to release Go-live

  • Work with CI/CD incubation and legacy teams to ensure consolidation and automation as part of key DevOps – CI/CD initiative

  • Provide timely, effective, clear and concise communications

  • Act honorably by knowing what’s right, what’s appropriate and acts accordingly


  • Bachelor’s in CIS, Software Development or Related Technology Area

  • 5 years’ experience leading Release, Change, Development, and/or Program Management for DevOps

  • 5 years’ experience with Agile Methodologies, ITIL/COBIT

  • 3 Years’ experience with Analytics (Splunk, Tableau or Business Objects)

  • Solid understanding of DevOps, Agile, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

  • Solid Understanding of newer Release Management and related solutions for DevOps/CI/CD – including but not limited to Jenkins, Maven, OpenShift, Puppet, Docker, CloudBees, Splunk

  • Solid understanding of regulatory compliance directives affecting banking

  • Solid understanding of the rigor and compliance (GLB, Basel I & II, PCI, HIPAA, SOX and COBIT) needed for a world class financial institution to comply with multi-national regulations

  • PMP desired or at least equivalent experience in Project/Program management best practices

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Banking or Financial Services industry is a plus
