Technology Project Leader (TPL) Manager

Job Summary

The Technology Project Leader (TPL) Manager oversees TPLs and Telecom Analysts who deliver IT services for Corporate Real Estate-driven projects at over 300 Branch and Corporate office locations in the US and Canada. This individual is responsible for managing a portfolio of complex projects including moves, adds, and changes to existing Branch and Corporate locations, the buildout of new Branch and Corporate locations, and facilitating technology refresh projects within the Branch environment. As primary point of contact, this role interfaces directly with our internal customers, IT SMEs, and 3 rd -party deployment partners including low voltage cabling, telecommunications, staging and installation of technology in our Branch and Corporate environment. Individual will regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment while collaborating to clarify goals and develop a clear understanding and structure of the assignments. Has direct responsibility to effectively and efficiently resolve business hurdles and drive the process as directed by management. This includes coordinating the procurement of technology and the efforts of team members and 3rd party partners to execute projects according to established timelines. This individual should be familiar with and support PMI’s PMBOK areas (project integration, scope, time, cost, quality, resourcing, communications, risk, and procurement management).


  • Managing staff responsible for coordinating and supervising execution of technical deployment MACs across the Branch and Corporate environments

  • Organizes and coordinates activities associated with installation, deployment and upgrade of hardware, software, and network facilities

  • Leads delivery of all technology based requirements for new & remodeled Branch and Corporate locations Responsible for management reporting and managing of staff TPLs

  • Participates in Incident, Change, and Problem Management activities

  • Defines and documents project scope, timeline, and deliverables in collaboration with internal team and stakeholders

  • Complete complex and multifaceted technology delivery cost estimates in support of customer budget and analysis exercises

  • Identify and manage dependencies in particular along the critical path. Manage changes in project scope, identify and communicate potential risks, and devise contingency plans


  • This is a fully experienced position for all aspects of the role

  • 3 years of experience in project delivery

  • 5 years of experience in technical role focused on network, system, and/or client infrastructure

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to both understand and articulate complex subject matter as necessary depending on audience.

  • Project Management training and/or certification is a plus

  • Basic understanding of construction and building design is a plus
