Term employment is an employment status in which the Bank hires an Individual for a job function within the Bank, receiving all the benefits of a regular status employee, except separation pay programs, merit increased, job posting capabilities or holding a corporate title. If you are converted to a regular employment status position or are hired in a different regular employment status position within the Bank, the time worked as a term employee will count towards all benefit.

We are looking to hire an Adjustments Specialist for 6 months. (not to exceed 2 years).

Job Summary:

The Adjustments Specialist performs daily operational tasks that are considered more complex in nature with higher level of Risk associated. Demonstrates analytical capabilities while performing tasks, including assessing and proactively mitigating risk and potential losses to the Bank. Demonstrate a high level of commitment to service quality and teamwork within the unit/department. Responsible for contacting and escalating to internal and external Retail and Commercial units/customers to resolve issues.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Completion of assigned operational tasks, while adhering to established policies, procedures, and compliance/regulations, which results in a satisfactory audit rating.

  • Completion of assigned daily tasks within Service Level thresholds and performance guidelines.

  • Responsible for researching and resolution of client or branch issues to ensure excellent customer service.

  • Contact customers to collect, validate or research information. Providing support to peer staff, ensuring uninterrupted completion of all daily operational tasks.

  • Assist on projects and initiatives as needed.

  • Step in as back up support for the department Work Director to ensure all daily tasks are completed within established timeframes and criteria's.

  • Escalate issues to management as needed.

Additional Information:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, self-starter, good verbal and written communication skills, excellent telephone techniques and etiquette.

  • Ability to handle high volume processes.

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with limited supervision.

  • Ability to recognize and escalate issues that could impact branch, customers or department.

  • Ability to work flexible work schedule.

  • Ability to work independently and possess initiative for professional growth.

  • Ability to lead with training or assisting the department Work Director in their absence or as needed.

  • Typing 35-40 wpm and PC knowledge along with packages like MS Word and Excel.

  • Working knowledge of TRIPS, CICS, RUMBA RCIF, ICS, COD, NetQuery and PeopleSoft along with other programs related to back office operations.

  • Prior check processing and related regulations preferred.
