Job Summary:

This AVP role in the Global Financial Crimes Division (“GFCD”) of MUFG Bank, Ltd. will report to the Head of GFCD Issues Management (“IM”) Program Governance & Administration. The AVP will be responsible for developing training, communications, and reference material based on GFCD IM procedures and best practices. In this capacity, the AVP will support the implementation and execution of GFCD IM procedures across related MUFG entities, and application of the Global Financial Crimes Compliance Escalation and Issue Management Standard.


  • Gain familiarity with the MUFG financial crimes compliance framework, including the roles of Internal Audit and Compliance Testing.

  • Develop an understanding of global Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”), Sanctions, and Anti-Bribery & Corruption (“ABC”) regulatory regimes.

  • Develop partnerships with stakeholders to drive implementation of end-to-end IM processes and procedures.

  • Work with Issue Owners, Risk Managers, Regional Issues Coordinators and other stakeholders to develop understanding of key IM processes

  • Serve as primary point of contact for GFCD IM interaction with the GFCD Training team in connection with the development of training materials

  • Generate communications and reference materials to disseminate key GFCD IM-related information

  • Document execution of training, communication, and awareness initiatives

  • Develop annual training and communication plans

  • Support the implementation and execution of GFCD IM’s responsibilities in connection with the global rollout of financial crimes policies through development of related training and communication materials


  • 3 years of experience in Financial Services, preferably in Financial Crimes Compliance, Risk Management or related areas

  • Experience managing and tracking projects or organizational objectives

  • Experience reviewing, implementing and/or drafting policies and procedures

  • Experience developing and delivering training and communications materials

  • Ability to influence key stakeholders across various divisions within MUFG

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Team-oriented approach to completing objectives

  • BBA/BA/BS Degree required

  • ACAMS, relevant professional qualification, and/or experience in client-service industry is a plus

  • Up to 10% travel, international and domestic
