Job Summary and Responsibilities

Support the development, implementation and scalability of MUFG’s activity-based workplace strategy program, Flexible Workplace (FWP) through change management initiatives and metric analysis. Act as a visible and vocal advocate, working cross-functionally, to provide subject matter expertise and strategic data analysis to support FWP and Location Strategy decisioning.

Workplace Strategy:

  • Serve as a FWP subject matter expert, vocal advocate and “face of the program” within MUFG

  • Partner with internal businesses (e.g. HR, Technology, etc.) to identify, develop and deploy policies, procedures, equipment, etc. that support the employee experience in FWP

  • Support development and innovation of FWP to improve operating capabilities and achieve a sustainable future strategy

  • Lead in identifying and understanding existing and innovative technology that supports and improves the employee and workplace experience

  • Coordinate long-term strategies that optimize current technology and integrate future technology to cost-effectively deploy new services and infrastructure to enhance workplace effectiveness

  • Keep up-to-date on industry trends and best practices with activity-based-working technology, industry innovation, designs, etc.

Change Management:

  • Accountable for FWP adoption and change management across the enterprise

  • Deliver Change Management Programming to employees impacted by FWP

  • Apply behavioral tools to assess the impact of change on business lines and determine readiness for change

  • Develop timeline and roadmaps, based on project implementation, employee resistance factors, program components and goals

  • Work with internal business partners to deploy full scope of change management activities including workplace strategy, move management, space/design, technology, HR policies, etc.

Metrics:

  • Define and deliver FWP performance metrics

  • Measure how the workplace currently supports business objectives and employee productivity

  • Create and maintain FWP Metrics Program of data and analyze FWP details and trends across business units, locations, etc.

  • Use the output of analytics to show performance of FWP to the real estate organization and the impact of FWP on business performance

  • Evaluate data and perform statistical analysis to identify improvement opportunities and associated issues and risks

  • Analyze, collate and present complex data analysis and reporting to senior and executive leadership teams

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business, industrial design, behavioral sciences or equivalent experience

  • 5 years of progressive experience in change management

  • Expertise in data analytics and deriving strategic recommendations based on complex data analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Activity-based-working/workplace strategy experience

  • Financial services industry background

Behavioral and Leadership Competencies:

  • Proficient in corporate program management and change management

  • Experience with leading indirect teams (e.g. change/project management)

  • Strong presentation, communication, and relationship building skills to influence at all levels of the organization

  • In-depth understanding of data analytics and a strong technical aptitude

  • Program management skills to assist organizing, planning, and executing concurrent large-scale projects from concept phase through to execution

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple activities and deadlines

  • Ability to work remotely in a virtual team within a matrix reporting relationship

  • Travel is anticipated to be up to 20% for this position
