Job Summary:

Primarily responsible for data analysis, reporting, visualization, translate complex data into actionable insights for business decision-making. This role requires an individual who is familiar with banking operations, regulatory requirements, and financial data trends, with a focus on leveraging analytics to drive operational efficiency, improve business performance, and ensure data integrity.

Key Responsibility:

Data Analytics - Building:

  • Analyze and interpret complex financial and transactional data to provide actionable insights that support strategic decisions and business growth within the banking sector.

  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for senior management, ensuring data accuracy, clarity, and meaningful visualizations that track business performance and key metrics.

  • Perform advanced data analysis using various analytical tools and methods, providing recommendations based on findings.

  • Conduct trend analysis, predictive modeling, and forecasting to support risk management, financial forecasting, and performance management.

Data Analytics - Reporting:

  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting key findings, trends, and areas for potential improvement.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments (finance, risk, front office, operations) to identify data requirements and deliver insights that improve processes and drive business improvements.

  • Work closely with business units to gather and document reporting requirements, ensuring that analytics solutions are aligned with business needs.

Data Governance and Integrity:

  • Ensure the integrity and security of all banking data being used for analysis and reporting, adhering to industry regulations and standards.

  • Monitor and improve data quality by conducting data validation and identifying areas for data enrichment.

  • Continuously enhance analytical models and reporting processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Finance Transformation:

  • Develop approaches and solutions required to implement Finance process transformation and improvements;

  • Automate accounting control processes and streamline spreadsheets design to improve operational efficiency;

  • Contribute to the design and enhancement of End User Computing controls (spreadsheets);

  • Responsible for quick resolution of day-to-day issues arising from the Finance Transformation project;

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, including the creation of complex dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.

  • Solid understanding of banking operations, financial statements, regulatory frameworks, and key metrics in the banking sector.

  • Proven experience working with large datasets, databases, and data management tools.

  • Proficient in programming language such as R, SAS, Python, and SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools.

  • Strong ability to translate technical data into understandable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Oracle).

Experience & Abilities:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role within the banking or financial services industry.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ work experience in Financial Service industry

  • Experience in leading transformation projects in a complex/matrix organization

  • Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical audiences.

Education & Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
