Job Summary:
As a SDET, you are a testing expertise with a strong focus on building automation and leading the design of test cases. It requires orchestrating end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the organization. As a technology expert, you are responsible to introduce and enable IT team to better manage the service delivery and support through continuous process improvement including delivery pipelines, code review and coding. You are an Agile team player to ensure that all test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to project methodologies.
Key Accountabilities:
Software Development Testing and Supports-
Build and accelerate quality engineering practice by building test automation frameworks, tools and processes
Develop well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
Build cross-functional partnerships among technology groups including Infrastructure and Operations for effective solution delivery and support by applying technical expertise
Design and implement tools to build, maintain and operate test automation frameworks with the goal to simplify test development and enhance test coverage visibility
Conducts peer code-reviews (application and test automation scripts) and provides feedback to team members.
Uphold technology best practices with a sense of autonomy, creativity, and open feedback for continuous improvement
Analyze test automation failures and determine the root cause
Identify, report, and track defects by using bug tracking tools, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including business partners, vendors, counterparties, and other IT teams.
Project Leadership -
Collaborate with business partners to identify, prioritize, and translate the application needs
Lead testing activities in collaboration across IT and business stakeholders including change management and software release scheduling
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME), assist in assessing product quality and release readiness
Provide technical input, assessment, realistic estimates to project team for planning, risk analysis
Deliver project documentation as required.
Conduct user training sessions
Technical Skills:
Pervious experience in creating and building test automation frameworks
Hands-On experience in AWS and Azure cloud service platforms
Proficient in PowerShell, Python and Javascript. Experience in automation tools such as Autosys, SFTP, ETL Process
3+ years of experience with Office 365 development utilizing Flow, Power Apps and Sharepoint Online, Microsoft Power Automate, Dataverse and other associated products
Any of following reporting tools: SAP Business Objects, Oracle Reporting Tools, or Power BI.
Experience and Abilities:
3-5+ years of experience as a software development engineer in test or a similar role.
Good understanding of SDLC Framework, software testing principles, and quality assurance processes.
Extensive experience in design and developing robust and reusable automation test framework and infrastructure from scratch.
Extensive experience with source configuration tool (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
Proficiency with SQL and an understanding of relational database systems.
Experiences working and deep understanding in Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Excellent critical thinking abilities and attention to detail, especially in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to self-motivate, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Strong ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Understanding of wholesale banking business operations and accounting principles.
Education and Training:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
QA related certification such as ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualification Board) or CSTE (Certified Software Tester), Agile testing etc is an asset.
Working Condition:
Two days of in-office presence per week.
Global Collaboration: Ability to work with teams across different countries and time zones.
Flexible Hours: Willingness to work occasional non-business hours and overnight, as needed for meetings, system monitoring, and troubleshooting.
