Summary:

The Cybersecurity Awareness Training Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, advancement and continuous improvement of the bank’s awareness training program, including the development and deployment of phishing simulations. The identified candidate is a self-starter with a “product manager” mindset, able to work with lines of business and other stakeholders across the global firm to understand the training needs, develop strategy and implement a standardized curricula and maintain current offerings.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategy, implement, and support an information security awareness training program throughout the Americas, and connect and collaborate with MUFG entities around the world

  • Ensure that the firm’s security awareness training program meets all industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements

  • Ensure that training material is appropriately developed and delivered in a timely manner for the intended audiences

  • Periodically review and update training program when necessary

  • Assist in establishing a tracking and reporting strategy for training

  • Propose and manage the user segmentation profiles to ensure that the information security awareness and training program is appropriate to requirements of the target audiences

  • Work with the Training and Development, Compliance, and other groups within the bank and across Enterprise Information Security to ensure successful implementation of the information security awareness program

  • Develop and implement information security training program, as well as providing day-to-day management to ensure success of the program.

  • Develop customized training development plans for key segments of the bank, including IT security staff.

  • Develop the appropriate metrics, dashboards and reporting mechanisms in order to measure the effectiveness and maturity of the information security awareness and training program.

  • Maintain day-to-day external vendor relationships associated with the information security awareness training program and technologies leveraged to actively manage.

  • Ability to coordinate program and influence global firm locations and stakeholders to advance and support the security awareness program

  • Work across multiple teams to extract data points required to run phishing simulations, established reporting and ensure identified risk areas are raised for awareness and remediation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field

  • Certification pertaining to information security (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM), etc.) highly desired

  • Understanding of federal requirements and banking industry guidelines related to security awareness and training

  • 5+ years’ experience with establishing, operating and the continuous improvement of a security awareness program

  • Skilled with e-learning creation tools, demonstrated excellence with creating e-learning and corporate training programs

  • Experience in delivering training to technical and non-technical professionals

  • Strong business acumen and soft skills

  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills

  • Ability to interact with stakeholders of various levels including business executives

  • Depth of practical experience and knowledge in both technical and non-technical training; and

  • Related IT Security and cybersecurity experience.
