Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily accounting operations, monthly, quarterly and term end closing control on financial statements.

  • Monitor daily ledger reconciliation and follow up any irregularities with the relevant business units for timely rectification.

  • Prepare periodic J-GAAP and US-GAAP reporting and perform variance analysis.

  • Prepare profit tax calculations and ensure timely and accurate filing of profit tax returns.

  • Liaise with external tax advisor on tax computation and filing.

  • Monitor changes to tax rules and identify potential implications and develop appropriate action plans.

  • Support internal and external audits.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, Group policies and procedures, and HK tax regulations.

  • Maintain robust internal control and ensure effectiveness in financial reporting.

  • Participate in accounting related projects, including system implementations and process improvements.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

  • At least 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in accounting, with a background in financial operations, month-end/year-end closing processes, and financial reporting.

  • Solid understanding of accounting standards (e.g. IFRS) and experience in compliance with group accounting policies.

  • Knowledge of HK tax regulations, including transfer pricing rules and documentation requirements.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to perform variance analysis.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Attention to detail and adherence to strict rules, standards and deadline.

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

  • Self-motivated
