Key responsibilities
Responsible for daily accounting operations, monthly, quarterly and term end closing control on financial statements.
Monitor daily ledger reconciliation and follow up any irregularities with the relevant business units for timely rectification.
Prepare periodic J-GAAP and US-GAAP reporting and perform variance analysis.
Prepare profit tax calculations and ensure timely and accurate filing of profit tax returns.
Liaise with external tax advisor on tax computation and filing.
Monitor changes to tax rules and identify potential implications and develop appropriate action plans.
Support internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, Group policies and procedures, and HK tax regulations.
Maintain robust internal control and ensure effectiveness in financial reporting.
Participate in accounting related projects, including system implementations and process improvements.
Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
At least 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in accounting, with a background in financial operations, month-end/year-end closing processes, and financial reporting.
Solid understanding of accounting standards (e.g. IFRS) and experience in compliance with group accounting policies.
Knowledge of HK tax regulations, including transfer pricing rules and documentation requirements.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to perform variance analysis.
Ability to work independently.
Attention to detail and adherence to strict rules, standards and deadline.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
