Job Responsibilities:

To lead and mange 4 distinct IT functions with the support of respective Team Leads, including:

IT Risk Management

  • To conduct technology risk assessment and manage IT risk to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and bank internal procedures

  • To establish branch procedures for IT product control and cybersecurity management

Information System Security Operations

  • To oversee the user access administration and authority maintenance for information systems in accordance with the Head Office information security and procedures

IT Planning

  • To devise system development policies and strategies that are aligned with the Bank’s organisational objectives

  • To collaborate with Business Operations Managers in prioritising the implementation of IT investment projects

  • To manage system investigations and expenses/budget control for IT investment portfolio

IT Helpdesk

  • To ensure quality IT service delivery while handling user enquiries and reporting issues

  • To oversee the hardware assets management and software licenses custody

This position also carries the below role & responsibilities:

  • To manage (objective setting & performance management), develop (coaching, career progression & training) and reward (financial and non-financial reward decisions) for subordinates.

  • To liaise with the regional Systems Office for Asia for rolling out regional initiatives

  • To develop departmental initiatives to drive process improvement and efficiency

  • To report to Management and Head of Systems Office for Asia, Hong Kong on a regular basis on opportunities/risks and recommend appropriate actions.

  • To maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.

  • To act as a trusted advisor to Management/Leadership team on IT related topics.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in IT field of banking industry, and a minimum 5 years in a leadership position.

  • Sound experience in IT project management, risk management strategy planning

  • Strong knowledge and understanding towards banking systems, products and services.

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence others

  • Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments and report to Senior Management

  • Solid coaching, mentoring and leadership skills
