Main purpose of the role :

We have an exciting opportunity within our Finance department in Hong Kong, to join the Reporting team.

The successful candidate will play an important role as part of the Reporting team, in the control and reporting of the entity financial books and records both internally and externally, via statutory financial statements and regulatory returns.

Periodic tasks will include preparing and supporting the production of daily, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for Management, Head Office and the Regulator, while in addition ad-hoc requests will come from stakeholders in Front Office, Control Functions, Management and Head Office. An essential part of the role is to comply with the Company’s policies and procedure, legal and regulatory requirements including all rules, laws and regulatory requirements emanating from the regulatory authorities to which the Firm is subject.

In addition, the successful individual is required to ensure they remain aware of key market and regulatory developments, and where necessary, attend the necessary training to adhere to the requirements of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare daily and monthly FRR report

  • Prepare quarterly and annual MAS returns

  • Involve in consolidation process for Hong Kong, Singapore and India Branch/Entity.

  • Assist in preparing Tokyo consolidation package

  • Prepare monthly management accounts with supporting schedules

  • Liaise with auditors, prepare audit schedules, drafting financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards

  • Prepare profits tax computations and liaise with tax representative for Hong Kong, Singapore and India Branch/Entity.

  • Perform quarterly balance sheet substantiation

  • Streamline daily work flow and seek continuous enhancement in internal control

Skills and experience:

  • Familiarity with key SFC reporting for a securities firm preferable;

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience working in financial institution, with big 4 experience is definitely an advantage

  • Solid hands on experience in preparing FRR reporting, tax returns, audit schedules, full set account and financial statements

  • Familiar with Oracle Cloud

  • Experience in tax and regulatory reporting for Singapore and India would be a plus

  • Proficient with Excel; and

  • Corporate Tax knowledge preferable, but not required.
