Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily operations, month-end and year-end closing process

  • Review/prepare monthly financial statements including HO reporting (J-GAAP, US-GAAP, BASEL III) and perform variance analysis

  • Review/prepare monthly management report

  • Analyze system accounting requirements and treatments

  • Communicate with System department to implement the system changes

  • Organize, manage and monitor user acceptance test

  • Proactively participate in accounting related projects

  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, polices and principles

  • Handle accounting enquiries from business units

  • New product analysis on accounting risk

  • Coordinate internal and external audit

  • Establish new initiatives and ideas to improve the deliverables

  • Keep abreast of accounting standards, policies and compliance with Group accounting policies and relevant standards, guidelines, procedures

  • Maintain good internal control and ensure effectiveness in financial reporting

Job requirements

  • University graduate with accounting or related degree

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience

  • Knowledgeable on wide banking products spectrum including loan, deposit, trade finance and treasury investment products

  • Strong analytical and ability to work independently

  • Proficiency in MS Office, in particular Excel

  • Attention to details and adherence to strict rules, standards and deadline
