Effectively control liquidity and funding risks in Asia & Oceania, whilst achieving cost-efficient funds operations to support business growth. Collaborate with regional offices to build an effective framework for liquidity management and infrastructure. Also responsible for understanding local regulations, assessing the impact and seeking solutions to ensure Branches adhere to regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute money market dealing under controlled supervision.

  • Monitor and project daily cash positions and execute money market transactions to ensure the funding mix and funding cost are in-line with Bank's strategies and liquidity and interest rate risks are within pre-set risk.

  • Hedging risks embedded in ALM through money market and FX swap market products based on analysis of global fundamentals.

  • Monitor and advise on the impacts of economic and regulatory changes.

  • Collaborate with regional offices and relevant divisions to manage ALM issues and to comply with regulatory requirement

  • Work in partnership with Product Offices’ from MUFG BK and MUFG entities to provide feedback on new products, support in leveraging their products and expertise as well as to maintain relationship for future business opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Head Office and stakeholders to minimize funding expense in MUFG BK on global basis while maintaining funding gap and other risk related limits.

  • Work in partnership with Treasury Dept Managers to build relationships with financial institutions in the region to promote products and create business opportunities.

  • Work in partnership with Branch Management to drive liquidity improvement strategies to improve the liquidity of the balance sheet.

  • Work in partnership with Operations to ensure smooth reporting and processing of transactions to ensure accuracy and convenience for the customer.

  • Provide competitive transfer price as well as ample liquidity in order to support customer-orientated business growth. Ensure fair and prudent benchmark rates setting.

  • Support in understanding the local regulatory requirements and audit outcomes, assess and recommend a funding and investments plan for the Branch to ensure alignment with all relevant regulations.

  • Support in managing the risk profile for the department by understanding the regulatory changes, monitor the Branch’s liquidity and prepare recommendations to mitigate liquidity risk.

  • Participate in relevant committees in the region.

Job Requirements:

  • Analyst/Associate: Minimum Degree qualified.

  • Analyst: Minimum 2 years of relevant money markets experience.

  • Associate: Minimum 3 years of corporate banking experience

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence others and sell solutions

  • Hold Financial Markets Regulatory Practices (FMRP) Certificate preferable.

  • Proficiency in Thomson Reuters Eikon, Bloomberg, Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) preferable
