MUFG Assistant Vice President -IT Category Procurement Contractor, APAC (12 months contract) in Singapore

Reporting directly to the Head of Enterprise Technology Procurement, As IT Category Procurement Contracto , you will be working closely with Global category Lead and Head of Enterprise Technology Procurement by contributing to the end of end Category management and strategy development, including sourcing execution, contract negotiation, as well as supplier management processes. Your role is pivotal in identifying and realizing cost saving initiatives that deliver real business value in the category across all MUFG’s business units.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all Sourcing Strategy documents are developed for key spend areas to provide a planned, market driven approach to sourcing

  • Lead and support sourcing activities through the utilization of applicable corporate policies.

  • Conduct supplier financial review. Initiate and maintain Purchase Agreements and supplier business reviews.

  • Identify, lead, and execute cost saving initiatives that deliver value in the IT Procurement of goods and services for APAC ASO

  • Ensure deep understanding of business needs to support market analysis, and cost benchmarking by spend category.

  • Stay abreast of commodity prices that are significant drivers in the cost of products and the impact that commodity cost changes have on unit cost.

  • Work with Global & Regional Category leads to formulate negotiation plans

  • Establish a long -term category plan to drive value across the enterprise for the assigned spend area.

  • Develop and prepare periodic reports on all IT Procurement activities.

This role is essential to the efficiency and success of our organization.

Job requirements:

  • Minimum three years' procurement /contract management/ vendor management role with experience in IT area.

  • Experience in technology procurement and analytical software

  • Experience in business management and strategic sourcing.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, business administration, or accounting

  • Professional certifications in the field of Sourcing/Procurement/Supply Chain (e.g CIPS,CPPM, CPM) are advantages.

  • Minimum three years' procurement /contract management/ vendor management role preferably with experience in IT area.

  • Proficiency in technology procurement and analytical software.

  • In-depth business management and strategic sourcing knowledge.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written , verbal) skills.

  • Performance-driven balanced with proven success of working effectively in a cross-functional team in an international environment.

  • Competent in formulating supplier negotiation strategies to address commercial and contractual (includes boilerplates and KPIs/SLAs) aspects
