Job Responsibilities:
Purpose of the role
- This role is within the ESG Finance Department. The successful candidate will report to Head of Deal Origination and Advisory, APAC.
Primary Responsibilities
Participation in International Think-Tanks
Support senior team members and participate in Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP), Energy Transition Mechanism (ETM), Blended Finance and Transition Finance.
Stay abreast to the new emerging trends and quickly anticipate and respond to the issues of a constantly changing global economy
Support clients to structure deals projects across different sectors with a focus on low carbon energy transition propositions – hydrogen, CCUS, green fuel, carbon credits
Financial Modelling
Building of financial models, Deal structuring and other transaction-related matters
Analysis of preferred financing solutions on individual asset/portfolio basis
Analysis of de-risking mechanisms that could be applied
Management Updates and Reporting
Create senior management presentations to communicate the progress across all the strategic initiatives
Visualize data into easy-to-read graphs and creates slides that tell a story to enable efficient executive-level consumption
Maintain close collaboration with the Coverage, Product Offices and Credit division to ensure the priorities are aligned to drive a common outcome
Within a fast evolving regional and market ESG landscape, differentiate MUFG’s positioning and proposition and relay the same to all stakeholders to drive growth for the ESG Finance Asia-Pacific business
Job Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of work experience in Asia
Prior training and deal experience in corporate finance, Project Finance, financial/commercial due diligence, M&A, public/private investments
Advanced Microsoft excel financial modelling capabilities
Well organized and ability to prioritize deliverables and deliver on time
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments.
