Purpose of the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic candidate with a proven track record in Regional Transaction Banking Sales to add to our existing team’s expertise across Cash & Liquidity Management and Trade & Supply Chain Finance. This role will provide an opportunity for strategic thinking and leadership as the candidate will work in close partnership with Regional Coverage teams to identify and develop business opportunities and drive sales initiatives for their focus client portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Department for GCST, the successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of regional sales targets through proactive pitching and execution of regional cash and trade solutions to the Bank’s multinational clients through directly leading a portfolio of mid-sized clients as well as support to senior sales members on the large client relationships.

The individual must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills as well as a strong sales mindset. He/she must have direct experience leading conversations with large multinational corporates, preferably at a top global transaction bank

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Contribute to the delivery of Regional Transaction Banking revenue targets & Sales KPIs

  • Deepen the Bank’s transaction banking wallet share across Cash & Liquidity Management and Trade Finance solutions with identified customers

Financial

  • Delivery of team’s revenue targets for assigned client portfolio

Customer:

  • Lead and develop strong effective relationships with key customers to capture new business and to deliver a high quality of sales service

  • Continuous proactive client engagement to understand their changing Working Capital and Liquidity need and find solutions to support these treasury objectives

  • Anticipate as well as be sensitive to shifting customer expectations and consider appropriate measures to ensure the Bank stays ahead of competitors

  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with internal and external parties

  • Work in partnership with various teams in the Bank (including Coverage, Product, Operations etc.) to support in delivering a seamless experience to our clients

  • Work in partnership with colleagues in Transaction Banking Product Development to provide feedback and guidance on customer requirements and market trends

People:

  • Be an effective partner with Regional Coverage, Transaction Banking and Global Markets colleagues

  • Proactively collaborate with Bank’s global and regional stakeholders to drive opportunity identification and revenue realization

Other / Control

  • Prepare presentation material for senior level customers

  • Review all deal proposals to ensure pricing, product offerings and the structuring of the deal is aligned to business strategy, delivers a high quality of service and mitigates risk for the Bank

  • Understand Transaction Banking issues raised by customers and seek commercial solutions to solve the issues

  • Proactively review the performance of the solutions implemented to ensure they meet customer’s expectations

  • Manage the risk profile of the department's portfolio by contributing to pipelining/account planning discussions to select financially healthy customers

  • Develop and lead departmental initiatives to deliver increase revenue opportunities and deliver a high quality of service

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and limits

  • Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations

  • Act as a Matter Expert in Cash Management and/or Trade Finance Product Sales to management

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Banking or Treasury

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in banking

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Transaction Banking landscape and market trends

  • Experienced in driving complex deals including regional RFPs & multi-country client pitches

  • In depth knowledge in structuring Transaction Banking deals

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills with the ability to influence others and build client relationships

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a tight team

  • Ability to multi-task and work under competing project deadlines

  • Sharp analytical skills for strategic thinking and problem solving

  • Collaborative and capability to work efficiently with internal stakeholders

  • Solution-oriented mindset
