Strategic

Product Management:

  • The role involves strategizing and managing the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, including conducting market research, crafting robust product strategies, ensuring product differentiation, and managing performance metrics.

  • Responsible for vendor relationships, maintaining a product backlog, ensuring product scalability and security, integrating the latest industry trends into product solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for alignment with strategic goals.

  • The role also focuses on staying up-to-date with industry innovations, proposing cloud-based and innovative solutions to meet evolving needs, driving technical strategy, being aware of regulatory changes, and proactively identifying new technologies and methodologies to enhance product orchestration.

Deployment:

  • Ensuring end-user solutions align with organization's standards, advocating for automation, managing provisioning and deployment processes, engaging with vendors and contractors for optimal solutions, and fostering partnerships with various departments for coordinated product development, QA, and release.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and analyzing network performance metrics, strategizing and executing solutions for peak performance, using deep knowledge in problem analysis for smooth operations, and identifying and rectifying network control issues.

  • Diagnosing network system issues, integrating software solutions, advocating for DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, and documenting all actions for future reference.

Financial

  • This role involves maintaining a comprehensive view of product-related costs, analyzing competitor offerings, overseeing large network projects, and crafting compelling product narratives.

  • The role also includes driving operational improvement initiatives, planning for resource utilization, advocating for resource optimization to reduce costs, and leveraging regional and global synergies to minimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

  • The individual must deliver projects within the budget, make independent decisions on critical matters, and ensure optimal resource utilization.

Customer

  • This role involves proactively engaging with customers, analyzing product specifications, making impactful decisions, overseeing production timelines, fostering agile work environment, and regularly engaging with clients.

  • The role also includes responding to cyber threats, fostering relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, collaborating with peers, partnering with departments to manage solutions, and building relationships with IT vendors.

  • The person will also be expected to help the team navigate infrastructure challenges, maintain communication with stakeholders, and anticipate customer needs while providing informed advice based on strategic roadmaps.

People

  • The role entails coaching and inspiring teams, fostering a learning environment, maintaining communication, and establishing strong relationships with stakeholders. It also involves identifying problems, managing conflicts, overseeing projects and teams, and promoting Agile practices.

  • Key responsibilities include designing SMART KPIs, supporting individual performance, ensuring efficient resource utilization, and creating learning roadmaps. This person also oversees team activities while exemplifying professionalism and providing technical support.

  • The individual in this role manages team performance and focuses on nurturing the growth of subject matter experts and potential future leaders within the organization.

Others/Control

  • This role involves managing risks and controls for communication and collaboration products, ensuring project delivery within scope and budget, assessing infrastructure assistance requests, supporting policy creation, and maintaining industry knowledge. The role also requires monthly reporting, participation in committees, maintaining project activities within agreed levels, offering system development insights, monitoring technical progress, and adhering to company policies.

Requirements:

  • Min 20 years of experience in a senior technical position responsible for managing regional IT infrastructure environments with project management experience.

  • Experience in Operating System Packing, Desktop Virtualization, Active Directory, Messaging platforms and Collaboration platforms and communication tools.

  • Experience in dealing with vendors and vendors governance.

  • Project management experience

  • Experience in a Financial Services or large complex and/or global environment.

  • Infrastructures troubleshooting build and deliver experience a must.

  • Experience of having led an Infrastructure support teams

  • Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product and project development lifecycle.

  • High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams

  • Experience in delivering finely tuned product marketing strategies

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills.

  • Understand Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principals at a high level.

  • Excellent leadership skill

  • Excellent Analytical, Troubleshooting and Problem-solving skills

  • Good verbal and written communication and able to manage key stakeholders i.e. project team, security, compliance and IT operations. Strong experience in communication and messaging product management role.

  • Good understanding on basic networking technology e.g. TCPIP, latency, capacity management, etc.

  • Good knowledge in virtualisation/hypervisor technologies on various operating platforms

  • Able to independently make decisions with minimal direction from manager, based on industry knowhow and product expertise. Knows what’s best for the business.

  • Has strong portfolio management skills to be able to manage this huge portfolio of products that has a direct impact to end users

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • ITIL certification is preferred.

  • Previous experience in Product Management, Operations and deployment management.

  • Proven success as a product developer in a non-managerial role

  • Demonstrable in-depth knowledge in cloud-based collaboration solutions.

  • Technical certifications like in prime vendor (Cisco, Juniper, AWS, MS Azure, etc) solutions and cloud-based products. Excellent leadership skill

  • PMP, Cloud (AWS/other), VMware certification is added advantage.
