MUFG Vice President, Credit Analyst in Singapore

Purpose of the role

To make independent and concise assessment of Credit Applications and Borrower Rating Applications proposed by the front office. Carry out the necessary covenant compliance checks in order to mitigate credit risk to the Bank.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders both within MUFG and externally.

  • Work in partnership with AIBD to review credit applications rating review.

  • Work in partnership with ICD/SFCO to understand credit applications and borrower ratings and ensure that there is concurrence on reviews.

  • Work with AIBD to provide guidance and support on the credit review process, understand the details of the transactions and resolve any outstanding queries.

  • Work with Planning Department to carry out stress testing in order to assess the level of credit risk to the Bank’s portfolio.

  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced members of the team and conduct necessary training

  • Provide a briefing to the Management on new transactions.

  • Effectively co-ordinate work flow through delegation to colleagues and maintain overall responsibility by reviewing proposals of work and providing guidance.

  • Support in developing and updating policies to ensure alignment with all relevant regulations.

  • Develop recommendations for continuous improvement and support implementation.

  • Support in managing the risk profile for the department.

  • Support internal and external audits within the department by preparing documentation as required.

  • Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.

  • To carry out the internal credit/department related project assigned by CBCD Head and or HOD.

  • To support the control and management of BCM project.

  • To ensure sound credit risk management and booking of good quality assets in Singapore.

  • To ensure strict adherence to internal and regulatory policies related to credit.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years in credit analysis specialising in either Project Finance, Real Estate Finance, Aviation and Shipping Finance, Commodity Finance

  • Project Finance, Real Estate Finance, Aviation and Shipping Finance, Asset Securitization, Commodity Finance, financial analysis, basic financial modelling.

  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret large and complex data sets and ability to identify implications of data sets.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to influence others.

  • Substantial experience in reviewing and preparing credit applications, financial covenants checking and borrower ratings.

  • In depth knowledge of industries and economic environment.

  • Detailed understanding of Banking products and their risks.

  • Degree qualified
