MUFG Vice President, IT Finance Manager in Singapore

This role is responsible for managing IT expenses with estimated amount of SGD 200 million annually, as well as overseeing a workforce across 11 countries in the APAC region, with Singapore serving as the Regional Office.

The Regional team comprises of members with diverse backgrounds and nationalities, hailing from different countries including Singapore, India, and Indonesia.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead in coordinating, preparing, and presenting IT expenses and headcount reports, forecasts, and strategy to stakeholders, including local, regional, and head office management. This includes attending regular meetings and steering committee meetings.

  • Lead and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving IT Finance operations, including automation, reporting, modelling, and presentations. This includes documenting, implementing, and promoting these initiatives alongside Line Managers.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on IT expenses, giving advice and guidance to other departments and branches. This includes, but is not limited to, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, chargebacks, and other expense-related discussions, which result in the consolidation of information across the APAC region.

  • Lead and contribute for executing the operational tasks of IT finance for the Regional Office in Singapore.

  • Undertake necessary investigations into data and processes to allow for continuous improvement across the APAC region, including scrutinizing payments, monitoring expenses, and investigating anomalies.

  • Carry out in-depth review sessions with members of other departments/branches to discuss actuals, forecasts, and budget variances.

  • Analyze data to provide informed recommendations on expense management to management and relevant stakeholders.

  • Review procurement requests from ASO members to ensure effective budget utilization.

Job requirements:

  • Min 7 years of relevant professional experience in IT and Finance

  • Experiencedstrategic planner to align with the organization target goal, including define the framework.

  • Experience in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • A degree holder

  • A self-motivated individual with a high level of responsibility and proactivity, possessing the ability to learn quickly and work independently with minimal supervision. A strong sense of ownership and accountability is essential.

  • Demonstrable ability to identify existing processes and envision efficient alternatives for implementation.

  • Capable of performing tasks with limited reliance on IT and efficiency in executing manual operations.

  • Exceptional analytical and communication abilities, both written and verbal, are a must.

  • A mindset adaptable to change is highly preferred.

  • Proven experience in working with cross-cultural and multinational teamsDevelop and maintain documentation and procedures for both current ('as-is') and future ('to-be') processes.

  • Liaise with the Singapore Accounting Department to resolve any issues related to payments, accruals, or other accounting matters.
