Job Description

As the Vice President of IT Planning Team at Systems Office for Asia (ASO), you will be responsible for guiding the strategic direction of our IT initiatives. This role involves leading planning projects, improving processes, and collaborating with professionals across the APAC region. Your leadership will help achieve our business goals and improve operational efficiency. Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex IT planning projects. Execute intricate and confidential projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

  • Propose and evaluate new initiatives. Conduct research, analysis, and evaluation of information from SMEs to propose innovative IT strategies.

  • Develop and promote Mid Term Business Plan. Create strategic plans to achieve roadmaps and KPIs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Create and monitor ASO KPIs and initiatives. Identify and implement measures to track and achieve key performance indicators.

  • Manage IT-related meetings and committees. Lead and coordinate IT strategies across APAC managements.

  • Oversee task schedules and submissions. Ensure timely submission of required documents and reports.

  • Evaluate and promote cost-saving initiatives. Identify and drive cost reduction strategies, including offshoring, to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Assist in organizational structure review. Support management in evaluating and optimizing the organizational framework.

  • Prepare and support management with reports and presentations. Generate monthly IT reporting and forecasting for submission to Tokyo Head Office, and assist in creating reports and presentation materials for executive meetings.

  • Act as a strategic partner to management. Provide proactive support in ad-hoc tasks, ensuring timely and effective responses to emerging issues, and contribute to the overall strategic direction of ASO.

  • Supervise and coordinate with teams. Lead a small team (2-3 members) and ensure seamless communication and coordination with regional planning offices, ASO branch planning department, and Head Office IT Planning department.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT planning or a related role, with a proven track record of successfully supporting complex IT initiatives.

  • Experience in IT planning methodologies, tools, and best practices.

  • Experience in liaising with head office and various subsidiaries within APAC region

  • Leadership and people management skills, in deploying and developing talent across the region

  • Independent with good analytical and interpersonal skills, planning and monitoring abilities

  • Responsible, proactive, fast learner, hands-on, able to work independently

  • Experience in managing IT function matters, including IT strategy, IT solution, and deployment of new technologies

  • Proven track record in a line manager role, with strong organizational skills and strong communication skills
