Role and Responsibilities

The Principal Enterprise Technology Architect will be responsible for translating the vision and strategy from senior management into action and delivery in close collaboration with business users and domain architects. Using strategic thinking and an analytical approach, work closely with subject matter experts in gathering technology requirements, analyze, design, and develop roadmaps and implementation plans based on current vs. future technology architecture.

  • Conduct an architecture assessment of current and target states, align architecture solutions with tactical and strategic objectives, and provide recommendations to close the gaps.

  • Define a comprehensive transition plan and roadmap to deliver positive results to the business.

  • Be a trusted adviser to the management team and give direction/guidance to the teams in solution design and implementation. Have knowledge of technology trends and provide thought leadership to the business.

  • Develop a technology architecture blueprint, standard, reference architecture, design pattern, guideline, and best practice related to hardware, software, network, security, data, and development.

  • Present roadmaps and architecture landscapes to senior stakeholders.

  • Ensure all architecture design adheres to enterprise architectural principles - reusability, modularity, loose coupling, ease of use, and security with high-quality application performance, availability, scalability, and integrity.

  • Evaluate technologies for both private and public clouds; design and implement target cloud architecture models, roadmaps, patterns, best practices, etc.

  • Develop on-premises infrastructure architecture for server, storage, network, and security.

  • Perform a quality review of infrastructure design and deliverables, leading work sessions, and delivering presentations with business stakeholders.

  • Manage the architecture and technology governance committee agenda for solution approvals.

  • Create a digital working experience for employee and hold regular Technology Talks Engagements to share the best of breed technologies in the market.

  • Lead discussions among domain architects, subject matter experts, and business users.

  • Provide recommendations on emerging technology to the chief architect and senior management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of related experiences in IT industry

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Experience in banking industry is preferred.

  • TOGAF certification is a must.

Preferred Skills

  • At least 15 years of related experience in IT industry with experience in developing a technology roadmap, reference architecture, reusable design patterns, architecture framework, technical whitepapers with TOGAF certification.

  • Experience in defining, designing, and developing scalable products and services, on multi-platform/hybrid cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, including Red Hat OpenShift Platform, Red Hat Virtualization, VMware vSphere, Hardware, and Network. Experience in IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and designing architecture based on Non-Functional Requirements for both critical and non-critical systems.

  • Experience in DevOps, Agile methodologies, containers, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and SRE. Experience in designing complex infrastructure and Integration architecture covering Web server, Application server, DB server, Messaging software, ESB, SOA, J2EE, and .Net.

  • Solid understanding of virtualization, cloud computing technologies, and best practices.

  • Experience in designing End User Computing (EUC); Familiarity with common enterprise services (Directory Services, VDI, Desktop as a Service, MS Intune, MDM, MAM, MCEM, etc.).

  • A good understanding of Infrastructure and security architecture and non-functional aspects like Performance, Scalability, Reliability, Availability, etc.

  • Experience in the design and implementation of modern data warehouse and Data Lake/Big Data Technology.

  • Experience with different types of database technologies, and an understanding of the technology landscape including open source, commercial on-premises, and cloud-based tools.

  • Professional experience with Microsoft AD, MS Team. Advanced experience with MS Clustering, MS SQL High Availability is a plus.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of x86 Servers and Blades, Storage & Backup Infrastructure.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in networking such as MPLS, SD-WAN, SASE, VPN, DNS, load balancing, firewall, etc.

  • Ability to understand organizational strategy and to design information systems to deliver that business strategy.

  • Effective and adaptable communication skills suited to varying audiences.

  • Strong situational analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relay information clearly and concisely in both written and verbal communications.
