The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Real Estate, Oceania, and provide relationship coverage to the portfolio of institutional real estate clients.
The role will include the assessment of complex corporate and non-recourse transactions, leading the coordination of the deal team members and analysis and communication of general market themes. Day-to-day tasks will also involve leading the engagement with MUFG’s various product areas, including loans and bonds, tracking pipeline and financial performance
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to) :
The Associate will be a primary point of contact for the coverage of the Bank’s institutional real estate clients
Assist in the strategic direction of the portfolio to achieve target economic outcomes
Work in close partnership with internal stakeholders including Portfolio Management, Credit and Product teams
Contribution to the assessment of risk and reward for the portfolio
Lead research and analytics to support origination of new business
Transaction coordination and support for Real Estate deal teams across a variety of structures and products
Responsibility of internal processes including the strategic account planning process, pipeline and KYC processes
Required Experience and Education
2-5 years of experience within Banking & Financial Services is a must
Basic understanding of the suite of products that Banks can offer
Strong technical understanding of real estate, including a deep knowledge of key sub-sectors and deal structures
Demonstrated track record in execution of a variety of real estate transactions
Tertiary education in finance or real estate. Post-graduate qualifications will be viewed favourably
Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills
Strong MS Office skills - Excel and PowerPoint
