The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Risk Reporting and Analytics Director, this role will be focused on design, development, and execution of Operational Risk Management (ORM) reporting and analysis. Reports will deliver risk insights to management and executives across the organization in a concise and articulate manner. The role will support data integration across key ORM programs and systems such as Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and Issues Management, and OpenPages GRC modules.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking an Operational Risk Manager who will support the development of the reporting and analytics function across MUFG in the US. This includes:

  • Support development and execution of the Aggregate Operational Risk Assessment, Key Risk Metrics and Aggregated RCSA results.

  • Continuous development of Risk and Control Self-Assessment analytics.

  • OpenPages systems enhancements, inclusive of designing and developing business requirements to support execution of the RCSA program.

  • Participate in and ensure that GRC systems development aligns with program objectives and data integration needs.

  • Support engagement with Internal Auditor and Regulators.

  • Stay up-to-date with analytical developments including Power BI and Generative AI.

  • Support other requests as assigned by the Risk Reporting and Analytics Director.

In addition, you will develop regulatory responses, risk management project implementations, and other risk management activities.

Interactions / Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong oral / written communication skills. Comfortable presenting to management and providing independent respectful challenge when different view exists.

  • Good interpersonal skills to build and manage relationships with business units as well as various second line of defense groups.

  • Strong work commitment and works well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Business and Technical Knowledge

  • Strong Operational Risk experience

  • Comprehensive understanding of ORM framework components such as Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and Key Risk Indicators

  • Ability to distil insightful information from exploratory analysis

  • Strong ability to analyze data and trends and prepare meaningful reports.

  • Strong knowledge of GRC platforms, with OpenPages being a plus

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft tools such as Excel and Power BI.

  • Broad understanding of the financial services industry

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in operational risk management, internal audit, management consulting or related field,

  • Experience in risk reporting and analysis

  • Strong knowledge of risk management, regulatory requirements, and industry practices

  • Demonstrated ability to manage workloads and prioritize deliverables.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, ac

  • Accounting or related field. Postgraduate degree is a plus.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $88k-$111k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
