The Organisation Development team is responsible for a range of key HR areas and processes across the whole Securities International and Bank EMEA business; including Talent, Performance, Learning, Inclusion and Diversity, and Early Careers. The team aims to provide sound expert advice to both HR and business colleagues, and to deliver programmes that support the development of high performing and engaged teams.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Manage the effective delivery of performance management practices and Learning & Development initiatives for the Securities International and Bank EMEA MUFG businesses. The role is responsible for the delivery of projects and processes to support the delivery of the Global HR and business strategies across MUFG, providing specialist input and advice to ensure that a successful High Performance Culture is effectively embedded and continues to develop.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance

  • Provide specialist advice and guidance on all aspects of performance management in EMEA in order to execute an effective approach to managing performance.

  • Work closely with regional and international HR colleagues at each stage of the annual performance review cycle to provide specialist expertise. Oversee the delivery of performance calibration to MUFG in EMEA.

  • Collaborate with HRBPs, Shared Services and business colleagues to drive successful completion of the annual performance cycle, ensuring quality of conversations and written feedback and providing analysis to drive continuous developments and improvements.

  • Support the creation of performance management related training to ensure employees and managers are equipped to take ownership and be accountable for performance including training, online tools and resources.

  • Design and implementation of global performance related processes in EMEA, including the development of Workday performance modules in collaboration with HRIS colleagues.

  • Management of all Performance Management requirements under UK SMCR regulations ensuring high quality performance evaluations.

  • Responsible for ensuring all performance related processes adhere to regulatory requirements, including but not limited to specific performance management requirements under GDPR.

Learning & Development

  • Execute learning & development tasks relating to the EMEA L&D agenda including supporting the running of core curriculum training sessions and the mentoring programme, and on-boarding of suppliers.

  • Contribute towards projects and initiatives within the EMEA L&D Strategy

  • Work with HR Shared Services to ensure delivery on administrative L&D tasks team where required, acting as second line on more complex queries.

  • Work with regional EMEA HR colleagues on Learning initiatives where support is required

  • Support the delivery of professional skills and regulatory e-learning in LEAP for EMEA and Asia Securities populations of c4000 employees

  • Work with business stakeholders to design, build and launch high quality online learning in Articulate Rise 360

  • Manage training administration such as availability, running and capture: create training courses, roll out training, reporting, access, etc.

  • Handle day to day second line LMS queries and escalating where appropriate Support the identification and resolution of technical issues associated with the operation of LEAP

  • Provide stakeholders at all levels with MI on completion, engagement, experience, and effectiveness of digital content

WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Demonstrated Performance/Talent /Learning/HR Generalist experience within a HR function.

  • Previous experience using Performance and Learning Management systems (Workday experience preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail with experience of working with large data-sets

Preferred:

  • Previous experience working in the Financial Services industry.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Functional / Technical Competencies:

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, able to adapt style and tone to suit the audience.

  • Experience managing people analytics

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and competency working with Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel .

  • Ability to prioritise a challenging workload and act with urgency, delivering to multiple, sometimes tight, deadlines

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain a professional manner in a busy environment

  • Experience with preparing and analysing management information.

Education / Qualifications:

  • A degree or equivalent professional qualification/experience in Human Resources or other relevant field.

PERFORMANCE AND DUTIES

The role holder will be assessed in accordance with the Global Performance framework and with relevant input obtained from the dual hatting entity as relevant.

As duties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed and amended in consultation with the role holder. The role holder will carry out other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the role as requested by their line manager or Department Head.

MANAGING CONFLICTS OF INTEREST

  • You will have responsibilities for both BTMU and MUS

  • You will be required to perform your duties and responsibilities on an entity neutral basis, without favour

  • You are required to follow regulatory requirements applicable to ensure each business is appropriately supported and to maintain the legal entity integrity of each of BTMU and MUS.

  • Working terms are dictated by functional mandates, the terms of the Dual-Hat Arrangement Agreement in place between BTMU and MUS and any other relevant agreements entered into between BTMU and MUS.

  • You have responsibility for identifying and resolving where there may be a difference or conflict in needs between BTMU and MUS, escalating to your manager where required.
