We are currently recruiting for a Sales Support for our EMEA Transaction Banking Office in Amsterdam.

Main purpose of the role

The Sales Support role is expected to assist with the development of new transaction banking business from large corporates that have a Head or regional office in Europe. This role focuses primarily on supporting the Transaction Banking Sales consultants managing their portfolio of clients and prospects and assist with management reporting to HQ.

The Sales Support reports to Head of Transaction Banking EU/EEA.

The role includes the following:

  • Support the transaction banking sales consultants

  • Analyse prospects and support cross/deep selling of cash management, trade finance and deposit products

  • Monitor events and business opportunities like deposit maturity calendar, bond issues, cash management tenders, trade lines utilisation rates and more

  • Assist with cash flow analysis of large multinationals calculating working capital drivers like cash conversion

  • Prepare pitch books and assists with RfP response

  • Monitor progress of client on-boarding, cash pool implementations, etc.

  • Provide input for management reporting to head office and local management such pipeline and financial performance reports

  • Cooperate with TB teams in London/Tokyo and other branches in the global network

  • Support with in/external TB marketing events

  • Sales admin like call report registration, pitch material repository, expense control

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:

Skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience

  • 3 – 5 years of experience as an account manager in Coverage or Transaction Banking sales at a leading global commercial bank

  • Basic understanding of TB products and needs of corporate treasuries

  • Extensive knowledge of building presentations in and use of Powerpoint, Excel, etc.

  • Experience with collecting financial performance data from annual reports and other public sources

  • Basic knowledge of transaction banking market and competitors

  • Understanding of cash management as well as trade finance customer needs

  • Ability to prepare high quality RfP responses and pitch books for beauty contests

  • Proficient in English and preferably Dutch, German or French (spoken and in writing)

  • Basic analytical skills

  • Effective communication and MS Office skills

  • Experience with client on boarding and implementation projects

  • Gross salary based on experience and consistent with the market

  • 8% holiday allowance and 13th month payment.
